Problème : Plymouth sous Squeeze avec Intel GMA 950

Bonsoir,

J’ai fait une recherche sur le Web et dans ce forum mais les recettes que j’applique ne semblent pas fonctionner.

[]Mon GPU est un IGP Intel GMA 950 qui supporte le kernel mode setting

]Je tourne sous Squeeze beta 2

Ce que j’ai fait :
[]J’ai installé le paquet plymouth
[
]ensuite j’ai modifié ainsi cette ligne de /etc/default/grub : GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash″
[*]puis j’ai lancé update-grub2

Ce que j’obtiens :

J’ai effectué d’autres paramétrages :
[]forcer le KMS (GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash i915.modeset=1″)

]commande update-initramfs -u (est-elle nécessaire sous Squeeze ?)
[]J’ai vérifié que j’avais bien le thème spacefun installé avec la commande /usr/sbin/plymouth-set-default-theme --list
[
]J’ai vérifié que libdrm-intel1 était bien installé

Sinon j’ai cru lire que le paramètre vga à la ligne GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT n’était plus requis avec GRUB2.

Une idée de comment avoir un boot graphique avec plymouth et mon GMA950 sous Squeeze ?
ai-je besoin de plymouth-drm ou plymouth-x11 ?

J’ai eu un souci avec le chipset i915 présent sur un Msi Wind (il me semble avoir lu que les mêmes problèmes se posent avec le i950) et je n’arrivais pas à avoir un Xorg fonctionnel avec un kernel 2.6.37 et plus.
Pour ça j’ai dû activer l’option CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS dans le .config :

Si tu as un kernel > 2.6.36 vérifie ton /boot/config-uname -r :

@i M@N : c’est curieux ton paramètre i915.modeset=0 sert à désactiver KMS (équivaut à nomodset chez d’autres constructeurs) !

@ burty : j’ai suivi le tuto que tu as indiqué
c’est à peu de choses près celui que j’avais suivi sauf que l’activation de KMS est forcée dans /etc/initramfs-tools/modules au lieu de dans /etc/default/grub, je suis pas sur que ça chose grand chose

en tout cas ça marche pas mieux :-/

peut être une piste :
c’est vrai que /usr/sbin/plymouth-set-default-theme --list me liste bien “spacefun” (avec “details” et “text”)
mais si je le sélectionne d’un /usr/sbin/plymouth-set-default-theme spacefun (quelquefois que ce soit pas le cas par défaut), alors j’obtiens [quote]/usr/lib/plymouth/solar.so does not exist[/quote] alors que je n’ai pas de message d’erreur pour “details” et “text”

d’ailleurs pourquoi quand je demande spacefun il me répond solar ?

En m’inspirant de mail-archive.com/debian-desk … 02549.html, j’ai vérifié que j’avais bien un dossier /usr/share/plymouth/themes/spacefun

par contre, comme indiqué précédemment, impossible de le sélectionner via /usr/sbin/plymouth-set-default-theme spacefun

Donc je l’ai sélectionné à la main nano /usr/share/plymouth/themes/plymouthd.defaults en changeant cette ligne ainsi Theme=spacefun

On progresse mais ça règle pas mon problème !
