Bumblebee alienware m14x gt55m port HDMI

Bonjour a tous, voici mon probleme. Je cherche à faire fonctionner mon port hdmi pour mettre l’affichage de mon portable sur un autre écran et également pouvoir séléctionner ma carte nvidia pour la couper si besoin et eviter qu’elle ne chauffe pour rien.

D’apres ce que j’ai pu lire j’ai decidé d’installer bumblebee avec le pilote nouveau (le pilote proprio n’etant pas conseillé).
J’ai donc suivi ce tuto https://wiki.debian.org/fr/Bumblebee.

Et j’ai eu le pb suivant [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: Could not load GPU driver.
j’ai donc modifier nvidia en nvidia-current. Mais le pb c’est que ca change rien. La carte nvidia tourne en permanence.

Je me suis appercu que je ne possede pas de fichier xorg.cong dans /etc/X11.

J’ai trouvé ca https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Alienware/M14x mais j’aimerai d’abord resoudre le pb de bumblebee.

je ne possède pas de portable avec optirun et je ne peux donc que tu passer des liens pour ramasser des infos si elles ne sont pas déjà en ta possession.

je vais test quitte a reprendre la procedure du départ. Merci pour cette info j’ai pourtant cherhcé comme un dingue mais je taquine pas trop l’anglais.

Tout d’abord dsl pour le temps que j’ai mi a repondre.

Je suis reparti d’une installation neuve.
J’ai généré un fichier xorg.conf car il était absent dans /etc/X11.

J’ai installé bumblebee avec le driver nvidia NOUVEAU pour un system wheezy.

Et la miracle plus de message d’erreur et glxgears fonctionne avec optirun.

Cependant deux problemes subsitent.
Le premier est que mon ecran branché sur le port HDMI detecte bien un signal quand je lance glxgears avec optirun mais rien ne s’affiche.
Le deuxieme est que le nombre de frame et de fps reste le meme avec ou sans optirun.

je me posais la question si il n’y avait pas un moyen de selectionner exclusivement la carte nvidia.

De plus en bidouillant les pilotes graphiques il m’est arrivé un probleme recurrent qui m’a conduit a moulte install: Les menus du bureau se multipliaient a chaque lancement de l’os. Deuxieme demarrage, apllications raccourcis et les autres s’affichaient deux fois. Troisieme demarrage trois fois etc etc.

Je suis preneur de tous conseils ou remarques

Salut, ca y ressemble fortement. Je me suis permis de d’ecrire mon probleme car moi c’est dans la demarche de faire fonctionner cette foutue carte nvidia avec un ecran branché sur le hdmi. Si par miracle j’arrive a résoudre a ce probleme je me ferait une joie d’expliquer comment je suis arrivé a mes fins et bien sur quels problemes j’ai pu rencontré et comment j’ai pu les resoudres. Ca me parait cohérent.

Mon probleme d’affichage: apres avoir généré un fichier xorg au deuxieme demmarrage j’ai deux fois les menus “applications, racourcis” deux fois la datte et l’heure, deux fois root. De plus si j’ouvre une application elle apparait deux fois dans la barre en bas mais n’est en réalité ouverte qu’une seule fois.

Au troisieme démarrage j’ai tout ca trois fois, au quatrieme quattre fois…

Au bout d’un momment je ne vois meme plus les menus tellement il y en a.

J’espere avoir été clair.

Au rapport!!! Je deviens fou. J’ai encore fait une nouvelle install et glxgears fonctionne avec optirun sans avoir généré de fichier xorg (pour eviter le pb cité plus haut de multiplication des menu). Je vais essayé d’etre precis car j’ai l’impression qu’il y a autant de comportement que d’installation sur une meme machine…

Installation dual boot
ajouts des depots stable et backports
mise a jour de la distribution. Reboot sur le nouveau noyaux 3.13
Installation bumblebee:

dpkg --add-architecture i386

apt-get update

Test optirun glxgears: fonctionne et envoie bien un signal au port hmdi et donc mon ecran externe.

Pb: la carte a l’air de tourné en permanance (ventilo tourne en continue)
Toujours écran noir sur l’ecran externe (qui detecte pourtant un signal)

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi c’est HDMI 3 (et pas 1) et je me demande si la creation d’un fichier xorg convenable pourrait remedier a ca?

Qq remarques qui ne te serviront sans doute pas, en plus je n’ai pas tout suivi à tes topics et je ne suis pas familier des problématiques Nvidia.

  • optimus = galère
  • drivers libres + optimus = ? … encore plus galère ?
  • … mais c’est cool de s’acharner à faire fonctionner des drivers libres, c’est juste dommage d’avoir choisi un ordi ayant une carte dont le constructeur ne joue pas du tout le jeu du logiciel libre
  • et donc, tu es sûr que les drivers libres gèrent la fonctionnalité que tu demandes ? Faire marcher l’HDMI, ça n’est pas trop demander, mais peut-être y a-t-il un problème avec le modèle spécifique de ta carte graphique (même si après réflexion ça me paraît peu probable, ça vaut ptet le coup de se renseigner)

Merci pour les encouragements ZBF. Je suis d’accord avec toi je vais aller farfouiller pour etre sur que les pilotes libres gerent le HDMI. J’ai reussi une fois je sais plus trop comment a avoir l’affichage sur l’ecran externe mais plus sur le portable (je pense en bidouillant xorg)mais j’aimerai faire un truc carré.

Quand à ma carte c’est une carte classique qui equipe beaucoup de pc portable de gamer. C’est la gestion des deux cartes qui pose probleme.

Je redoutais linux pour les problemes de drivers matériel je suis servi. En tout cas je deviens un pro de l’installation.
