Bonjour, j’ai exactement le meme probleme sauf que lspci ne repere pas ma carte (MSI nVidia GeForce NX 8800GTS 320Mo).
il indique :

Il devrait y avoir une erreur…

[/quote]Si ton lsmod n’affiche pas le module nvidia, c’est normal que ça ne démarre pas. Si c’est le cas, et qu’un ‘modprobe nvidia’ s’execute sans erreur, alors il suffit que tu rajoutes le nom du module dans /etc/modules, pour qu’il se charge tout seul au boot.

le truc c’est que j’ai deja ajoute nvidia dans /etc/modules
Ah ben alors tu as effectivement un pb plus subtil comme paladin, et je n’ai pas plus d’idée.
Ce que tu peux faire, c’est tenter la config en nvidia (elle devrait au moins fonctionner avec le pilote nv, ceci dit, et c’est bizarre que tu n’ai pas pu l’utiliser au lieu de vesa), et nous donner le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log (au moins les lignes qui commencent par (EE) ).
bah en fait si je remplave vesa par nv c le meme resultat qu’avec nvidia, ecran noir.

[/quote] en fait ses quoi ce module ? par ce que je comprend rien . sa fait partie de nvidia ou ses autre chose j ai installer par envy sa marche pas ! j avais nvidia legacy , j ai tous enlever pour mettre les autres . Mais rien ni fait j aurais j uste compris une chose , ses que en virant les fichier de config xorg , je peut redemarrer sous debian

Essaie d’installer ta carte avec l’installateur officiel de nvidia!

eh bien moi aussi j’ai eu le même mauvais réflexe que toi car en lisant la façon d’installer je me suis dit : facile!
et bien non quelle galère! J’ai essayé avec envy et automatix : catastrophe!
Et comme je n’aime pas me compliquer la vie (et j’aurais du commencer par là) je suis plutôt méhode de cheval : j’ai désinstallé tout ça, je suis allé téléchargé le dernier pilote sur le site nvidia, j’ai tué le serveur X, j’ai lancé le script d’installation en répondant ok ou oui aux questions (3 ou 4 il me semble) et j’ai rebooté après qu’il ait modifié lui-même le xorg.conf.
Et voilà depuis ça marche du feu de dieu.
je ne dis pas que ça marchera nécessairement pour toi mais essaie!..

bas deja avant dans arriver la j aimerais trouver la solution a mon probleme
par ce que deja meme sous windows les driver de ma carte graphique non j amais marcher ses un comble l, e cd vendu avec cette carte ne marchait pas sous windows
j ai du trouver un vieux driver sur le site de nvidia .mais je ne me souvien pas de son numero . et la sous debian j ai le meme probleme pour installer ma carte graphique la differance ses que je doit mettre un peut plus les main dans le cambouie et la je nage

et bien moi je ne m’emmerderais pas comme ça je changerais de carte graphique : on trouve d’excellentes nvidia pas chères d’occase ou aux enchères! Si tu ne recherche pas le dernier modèle à la mode évidemment!..

une 6600 est parfaitement supportée, il me semble …
je suppose que s’il a des soucis aussi bien sous windows que sous linux c’est que cette carte (il y a quelquefois des cartes exotiques bien qu’elles ont un chipst nvidia) est “buguée”?
Ou alors la carte mère ou encore la configuration du bios : il faudrait peut-être voir à remettre tous les paramètres du bios par défaut?

tu es sûr que tu as bien tué le serveur X : tu ne dois plus du tout avoir de session graphique sur la machine même gdm ou kdm qui permettent de se logguer à gnome ou kde (là où tu rentres idebtifiant et mot de passe)
