fsck ne teste que la cohérence du système de fichiers, il faut utiliser fsck.ext3 avec l’option -c (et -k) pour tester les secteurs. La lecture de smartctl n’est pas simple, il s’agit de signes précurseurs donc sujets à caution. Il aurait fallu avoir la table…

Encore faut-il que non seulement il soit installé mais que /etc/default/smartmontools soit correctement paramétré et activé, ce qui n’est pas le cas sur toutes les installations
