# Imprimante 3D sur plastique "auto-reproductrice" et Libre

Un robot taillant dans le plastique, capable de reproduire ses propres pièces (Il doit donc être en plastique?), et dont toute la chaine de développement (Code source, outils de compilation, matos etc…) est Libre.

Ça m’a l’air sympathique tout ça. Les concepteurs restent lucides:

Oui, mais il y a quand même des pièces métalliques que l’imprimante ne peut pas reproduire elle même:

Heureusement, sinon, ce que j’ai coutume de dire deviendrait vrai, à savoir: notre successeur dans l’échelle de l’évolution sera mécanique.
