Tu es bien connecté en Svideo comme l’indique ton xorg.conf (prise noire à plusieurs broches)?
Si tu es connecté en composite (prise coax jaune), il faut adapter ton xorg.conf.

Le moniteur fonctionne très bien. C’est un écran plat. C’est pour cela que j’ai mis DFT. Cela dit, c’est sans doute une erreur car j’obtiens un warning dans mon Xorg.log. Sinon les connecteurs de ma carte (7900GS) sont composés de deux ports DVI (auquel j’ajoute un adaptateur) et bien d’un S-Video. Même si j’ai fait une erreur avec l’option DFT je ne vois pas le rapport avec ma TV qui ne fonctionne pas.

    Sinon, ton dernier xorg.conf a un pb: tu as deux fois le device
    "Carte vidéo générique" pour screen 0 et pour screen 1 . renomme les “Carte vidéo générique 0” et “Carte vidéo générique 1”, et modifie les deux sections “screen” qui correspondent.
    Sinon, si tu as accés aux dépots lenny ou sid, tu peux aussi installer kxgenerator et faire ta config avec.

je viens de voir que tu étais sous sid. Installes et utilises kxgenerator pour gèrer ta config. Aprés, tu affineras éventuellement à la main.

J’ai déjà testé kxgenerator. C’est surtout pratique si on utilise le twinview. Je prefère m’en passer de manière à avoir un clone de résolution différente.

c’est un peu le fouilli ton xorg.conf.

Le nvidia-settings ne me permet pas de faire grand chose… il ne détecte pas ma TV: j’ajoute que je dois passer par un adaptateur S-Video <=> composite à la sortie de ma carte vidéo

Bon, je n’ai pas plus réussi avec ce xorg.conf

J’en ai essayé un autre: trouvé sur Ubuntu-fr qui permet de faire du dual screen. Ca a marché, mais j’ai trouvé le résultat décevant: On dispose alors de deux bureaux différents (un sur chaque écran). Le bureau de la TV n’est pas personnalisé et l’interaction avec celui ci est difficile (Mifrey explique dans mon lien comment procéder).
Un autre lien pour ceux que ça intéresse.

Je suis donc revenu au twinview, en utilisant nvidia-settings. Curieusement celui-ci à détecté ma TV cette fois (je me demande bien ce que j’ai pu faire !). J’ai fais un réglage un peu spécial que je ne croyais pas possible: je superpose les deux écrans comme sur la capture (moniteur: 1280x1024; TV: 800x600). J’ai ensuite demandé à modifier mon xorg.conf en conséquence.

Ainsi en lançant kaffeine, en le plaçant dans le coin inférieur droit et en double-cliquant dedans, kaffeine se met en mode plein écran selon l’écran TV, mais occupe partiellement le moniteur (comme sur la capture). On peut ainsi garder le contrôle de kaffeine de manière graphique, et se passer des commandes du style:

PS: d’autant que chez moi, le moniteur et la TV ne sont pas dans la même pièce…

Par contre, la qualité est assez moyenne. L’image tremble très légèrement et les couleurs saturent. nvidia-settings ne permet pas de modifier les paramètres des écrans de manière indépendante (on règle les deux à la fois ou rien !).

Voilà une capture (oui c’est dégueulasse, c’est parce qu’on est limité à 20 ko pour les pièces jointes et j’ai la flemme d’utiliser un hébergeur d’image).

Pour le sautillement de l’image TV, essaie le PAL-b (ça a marché pour moi)

Ton hard à l’air bien compliqué! un convertisseur S-video composite, c’est presque aussi cher qu’un PC entée de gamme.
Si ton objectif est de regardé des vidéos sur la TV dans une autre piéce, essai de trouver un PC d’occaze, branche le sur la TV, et installe dessus un frontend mythtv!
Tu mets le backend sur le PC principal, et ça roule!

La 7900GS est équipé d’un port S-Video. Mais le cable S-Video que j’ai acheté ne rentre pas dedans, le port ayant été mal soudé sur la carte (du travail de cochon). Bref j’utilise:

J’ai essayé de régler la saturation dans nvidia-settings (j’ai l’impression qu’une nouvelle option est apparue depuis peu), mais celle-ci ne semble pas vouloir être prise en compte (au redémarrage de nvidia-settings je retrouve la valeur par défaut) :frowning:
Sinon, des lignes horizontales apparaissent sur ma téloche dû au fait que la partie haute et basse de l’écran n’est pas toujours bien synchronisées (particulièrement lors de scènes mouvementées).

Si vous avez une quelconque idée à me suggérer pour ces deux problèmes… :smt002

si ça peut t’aider voila mon xorg.conf en Xinerama façon nVidia, c’est un peut plus “propriétaire” mais c’est comme ça que Compiz fonctionne en Xinerama
Note que Xinerama est à False, parcequ’il faut que se soit le pilote nVidia qui le gère et pas le moteur Xorg.

Parce que je suis obliger de redémarrer le serveur d’affichage après avoir branché/débranché la prise TV (donc c’est pas très pratique).
