Bon me voila de retour, avec les driver ATI installés ^^ mais par contre quand je fais un glxgears -printfps j’ai vers les 400 de fps puis ça monte vers les 1900 et ça freeze donc obligé de reboot :frowning:

Par contre juste une question, entre glxgears et fgl_glxgears lequel doit avoir le plus de fps ? parceque avec glxgears j’ai vers les 2500 alors que fgl_glxgears j’ai vers les 700 et puis quand je lance Enemy territory ça rame

Gaffe par contre, j’ai deux écrans (même si désctivé dual view sur mon xorg…) et mon xorg est d’ubuntu. (Quoique cela ne devrait pas avoir trop d’influence).

pour ma part j’ai eu tellement de difficulté (même jamais réussit…) à faire fonctionner la 3d et le dual avec Debian que je suis passé à Ubuntu…Avec, je l’ai config en deux temps, trois mouvement (presque)

tu utilises une carte apparament compatible avec le driver libre !

Tu n’as peut être pas besoin d’utiliser le driver proprio. De plus j’ai cru (à prouver…) entendre dire que les drivers ATI actuels ne garantissaient plus le support des anciennes cartes. La tienne fait peu être partie de ces carte !

Aussi, l’option disble AIGLX n’est en principe pas obligatoire car justement les drivers proprios ne permettent pas l’utilisation de AIGLX.

Option “BusType” “PCI” -> Sert si ta carte est en PCI et non en AGP non ? Si tu as une carte AGP, tu dois peu être la retirer…

Sinon, vois dans la section “modules”, compare avec les mienne et fais des test…

Doc sur l’installation de drivers libres radeon, à adapter pour Debian mais Ubuntu en est proche…

Conclusion:

Si tu es motivé, teste avec les drivers libres. Sinon mes proposition sur ce post seront je crois les dernières car la je sèche grave :frowning:

bon je viens de testé avec le driver libre, mon fps depasse pas les 700 mais j’ai testé avec ET et ça rame pas alors qu’avant…

Bon, c’est déja mieux alors…

Teste le plus d’appli 3d possible voir si tout est correctement pris en charge niveau fonctions 3d (ma carte pas très compatible lui en manquait quelques unes malgré que la 3d semblait marcher…).

Si tu as encore faim de galère :slightly_smiling: tu pourra tester AIGLX/Beryl avec ta carte :wink: !
Mais là aussi c’est encore assea complexe à dépatouiller…

Les drivers libres ont l’avantage (plutôt limité pour le citoyen lambda) d’être libres. Mais niveau perfs … passe ton chemin :unamused: .

Les drivers proprios sont beaucoup plus performants.
Donc dans ton cas il te faudrait les drivers proprios.
Il y avait dans trucs et astuces un tuto génial pour les installer mais le lien ne marche plus …

Si tes jeux rament c’est pas tout simplement que ta carte est un peu faiblarde ?
Je ne connais pas les jeux que tu veux faire tourner, mais une ATI 9600 n’est pas non plus une bête de course (sans être une daube non plus).

Il reste un tuto dans trucs et astuces qui indique comment installer le pilote 3D ati à partir du pilote propriétaire :

Mais les versions des paquets ont évolué et je ne sais pas s’il est fonctionnel

Les drivers libres sont censé fonctionner sur une 9600. Seulement il y a quelques réglages fins qui peuvent faire la différence. Il y des possesseurs de cartes ATI de ce type qui tournent au drivers libres sans problème, avec le desktop 3d etc…
