The configuration boots from an Integral 4Gb SLC 30MB/s Class 10 SD card. This is a premium SD card and the SLC feature provides greater speed and longer lifetime.

The SheevaPlug is a development platform, targeted for use as a plug computer, and designed to run network-based software services.
