je me suis lancé dans l’installation de debian squeeze/sid sur mon apsire one A110/ssd8Gb/1.5GRam.

j’ai un soucis avec la carte wifi, peut etre pourriez vous m’aidez. autant dire que j’arrive a rien…

j’ai deja lu cette page. il est indiqué que depuis lenny et superieur madwifi a été enlevé des depots. Je suis en squeez/sid.
il est dit d’utiliser “ath5k”. ce que je fait. mais cela ne marche pas…

Ta carte est reconnue sous wlan0. Le problème est ailleurs : droits, wicd, /etc/network/interfaces, association de la box…

Pour commencer est tu bien dans le groupe net-dev?

As-tu vérifier que ton module était installé, n’y aurait-il pas un autre module à blacklister ( qui pourrait rentrer en conflit ) , désolé je n’ai que ça comme idée je ne connais pas ce genre de module wifi.

En tout cas ton module ne parait pas charger a ce que je vois :think:

si je peux me permettre,
j’ai offert un aspire one à mon épouse, sauf que la machine a un disque dur, et ce n’est pas la même carte: BCM4313 chez moi.
Mais j’ai eu un problème au début:
je voyais bien la carte, avec lspci, mais impossible d’obtenir un quelconque signal, jusqu’au moment ou, croyant à un problème de carte (maichine d’occasion…) j’ai trouvé!
En fait, il faut parfois activer la carte avec une des touches du clavier! c’est bête, mais y a tu pensé? Et sur certaine machine, il y a des soucis avec le pavé tactile: il faut désactiver celui-ci, activer la carte wifi, puis réactiver lr pavé tactile! je sais, c’est con, mais ça a marché chez moi!
Après, as tu testé un un iwlist wlan0 scan pour tester?

Sinon, ath5k fonctionne avec le dernier noyau sous testing, je l’utilise pour une de mes cartes wifi (machine de bureau).

j’ai bien purgé madwifi + blacklist ath_pci. Puis j’ai ajouté ath5k dans /etc/modules.

logiquement je lance alors :

Je suis donc coincé ici par mes connaissances.

le ‘Ignoring unknown …’ c’est juste pour dire que tu n’as pas configuré wlan0 ans /etc/network/interfaces c’est pas grave en soit.
Perso, j’ai laissé tombé wicid et autre network-manager. Je configure wpa-suplicant et interfaces à la main. Je n’ai qu’a rajouter un réseau dans /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf pour faire fonctionner un nouveau réseau. Démonstration chez moi:

J’ai juste eu à faire un script sur une machine sous buntu pour reconnecter après hibernation, ça voulait pas le faire tout seul.
Pour ton problème, as tu regardé dans /var/log/syslog au moment ou tu charge le module ath5k ?
Tu auras peut être un peut plus d’info .

Un truc tout bête dans wicd : lui indiquer que la carte suivie est wlan0 et pas une autre.
