Absence de wifi sur portable thinkpad X32 avec debian 7.7

Bonjour, je suis nouveau sur ce forum et nouvel utilisateur de debian. Donc je vous prie de m’excuser si je ne suis pas à la bonne adresse ou autre chose…
Habitué à Ubuntu, je viens d’installer Debian 7.7.0 sur un PC portable Thinkpad 32 sur conseil du forum Ubuntu suite à impossibilité d’installer les nouveaux ubuntu en absence de PAE.
Je suis satisfait dans un 1er temps, mais impossibilité de mettre en fonctionnement la fonction wifi (action par la touche Fn+F5).
Il y a -t-il des possibilités?

Il manque probablement un firmware pour la carte wifi. [mono]lspci -nn[/mono] permet d’identifier le modèle afin d’installer le firmware correspondant. Les messages du noyau ([mono]dmesg[/mono]) contiennent aussi le nom des firmwares manquants.

PS : sujet archi-rebattu ici, fais une recherche dans les précédentes discussions.

comme si les commandes pour les fonctions wifi n’étaient pas installées?

2-Pour ce qui est du firmware, je ne sais pas décodé, donc je vous mets en pièce jointe, la réponse complète.

Je refuse de télécharger et ouvrir des .odt contenant du texte brut. Utiliser ce format pour du texte brut, c’est de l’abus. Tu as le choix entre copier directement le texte entre balises [code], soit dans un fichier .txt.

Si la carte wifi est une Intel, le firmware doit se trouver dans le paquet firmware-iwlwifi ou firmware-ipw2x00. Je dirais plutôt le second vu l’âge de la machine (c’est ce que j’utilise sur mon T43), mais ça ne coûte pas cher d’installer les deux. Ces paquets étant non libres, il faudra ajouter la section non-free aux dépôts Debian définis dans /etc/apt/sources.list si tu ne l’as pas fait pendant l’installation.

Mes excuses pour le fichier joint en odt. J’avais bien utilisé gedit pour faire une copie, mais le forum n’avait pas accepté cette version texte (peut-être l’absence de .txt?).
J’ai essayé ce que vous m’avez conseillé: faire un “apt-get install de firmware-iwlwifi et de firmware-ipw2x00”, j’ai comme réponse que le paquet existe dans la base, mais que le paquet est manquant. Pourtant j’ai bien modifié le fichier sources.list.

PS : gedit pour quoi faire ? Une redirection de la sortie standard de la commande dans un fichier texte suffit :

C’est typiquement le message des dépôts avec non-free pas ouvert.
Je te laisse un peu chercher comme ça tu apprendras en même temps à manipuler ton sources.list.

J’ai fait quelques recherches (je ne pratique pas du tout l’anglais) et j’ai trouvé qu’il fallait mettre "contrib non-free"après chaque ligne se terminant par main…
En l’éditant, mon sources-list, les 2 termes sont inversés. J’ai “non-free contrib” mais comme cela a été fait par mode graphique (ouverture du fichier par clique dans nautilus), demande de mot de passe superutilisateur et sélection de tous les attributs Downloadable from the internet… j’ai laissé le fichier dans son état… (j’ai essayé de modifier mais j’étais en lecture seule et je ne suis pas arrivé à me mettre en mode root…).

Mais j’ai relancé les 2 apt-get install firmware… ça me donne quelque chose de différent, mais toujours pas bon:

Tu as modifié sources.list, puis tu as visiblement exécuté [mono]apt-get update[/mono] pour mettre à jour la liste des paquets puisque maintenant apt sait comment récupérer le paquet firmware-ipw2x00. Mais au moment de se connecter au serveur, comme le ferait un navigateur, la résolution DNS ne fonctionne pas. Etonnant puisque [mono]apt-get update[/mono] a dû se connecter à ce serveur.

c’est presque “abouti”. Encore un petit peu d’aide…

J’accède bien au site debian par http…: le réseau fil fonctionne.
J’ai refait apt-get update, et refait l’install des 2 firmwares… Et là il y a accès.
Le premier firmware iwlwifi s’est installé sans problème.
Pour le 2ieme , j’ai l’ouverture d’une fenêtre bleue “configuration de firmware-ipw2x00” me demandant un accord de licence… (si j’ai bien compris).

Mais je ne sais comment donner l’autorisation??? La commande “entrer” n’a pas d’effet, je ne sais comment sortir de ce terminal car il est actif…(et cette fenêtre à l’air de prendre l’espace du terminal et elle dispose d’une barre d’outil “fichier, edition, affichage…”; je n’avais jamais rencontré celà).

Je reste sur cette fenêtre et j’attends votre réponse…

Appuyer sur la touche [mono]Tab[/mono](à gauche sur l’illustration) pour placer le curseur sur OK puis [mono]Entrée[/mono] pour valider.

As tu essayé la navigation avec la touche Tab (Tabulation, les 2 flèches sur la gauche du clavier) pour naviguer ?

Concernant ta remarque sur la barre de titre : tu ne quittes pas le terminal à l’affichage de ce document. Q pour quitter je pense, mais Tab devrait te permettre d’accepter.

Concernant la modification de fichiers en général sous Linux :

  • si tu aimes faire les modifications en mode graphique (comme sous ubuntu), tu peux utiliser le programme synaptic.
  • si l’édition en mode console ne te fait pas peur, tu peux utiliser le logiciel nano. Exemple pour modifier le /etc/apt/sources.list : nano /etc/apt/sources.list (à lancer en tant que root).

Enfin, un petit conseil vu que tu viens d’arriver sous Debian : je te conseille d’installer le paquet sudo, puis ajouter ton nom d’utilisateur au groupe “sudo”. Ainsi tu pourras lancer les commandes sans te connecter au compte root. En reprenant l’exemple du dessus : sudo nano/etc/apt/sources.list
Le mot de passe “sudo” est celui de ton utilisateur et pas celui du compte root.
La console root est à éviter en mode graphique, selon moi.

J’ai accès au réseau sans fil, et je vais pouvoir prêté ce PC à une personne qui est en rade …

je vais regardé comment on clôt une question et à une prochaine…car je pense continuer à travailler avec débian, plus léger qu’ubuntu
