Comment ça rame ? Dans quelles situations ? Tu as essayé glxgears (il faut le paquet mesa-utils) ? Si oui tu peux déjà le faire.

Peux-tu également poster le contenu du xorg.conf généré ?

$fglrxinfosi cette commande te renvoie une information par rapport à ta carte c’est que la 3D est installée.

$glxgearscette commande (si elle ne fonctionne pas installe le paquet mesa-utils) te renverra une nombre de FPS, affiche le ici et tu pourras peut-être comparer avec d’autres membres du forum qui ont une carte du même genre.
après ça, je sais pas ce que veut dire la 3D rame.
par rapport à quel soft ? quel système ?
ta carte est une 9550 ? c’est pas tout jeune non plus.

Celà semble juste, mais très succin. Il ne parle pas des détails du fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf. La commande aticonfig --initial configure en effet le fichier, mais ne le nettoye pas(laisse des doublons). Tu as besoin d’un fichier propre et bien configurer. voici un exemple:

ATTENTION!

Il est vrai que ta config n’est pas toute jeune. Certain des paramètres ici ne correspondent certainement pas. Choisir le bon pilote est essentiel et une config adaptée vas de soi. Une recherche de ton chipset dans google te mènera probablement sur le forum d’ubuntu :smt006 salut au passage.

On se raproche… Voici un résultat correct à la commande fglrxinfo:

Si tu compares à la tienne, je crois que ça saute au yeux… Chez toi, le rendu 3D est effectué par MESA et pas par le pilote ATI. Voilà pourquoi c’est LENT! Très LENT…

1- Vire la première section “Device” ainsi que la première section “Monitor” et la 1ère “Screen” ==> les fameux doublons.

Ta section “Device” doit ressembler à ceci:

Tu redémares X(éventuellement la machine) et, même si ça marche, tu vérifies le log(/var/lox/Xorg.0.log). Cherches les lignes EE ou WW(si il n’y en a pas, tant mieu!). Re-test fglrxinfo, si ATI apparait comme ci-dessus, le tour est joué. Si ce n’est pas le cas, les erreurs apparaissant dans le fichier de log devrait ouvrir de nouvelles pistes. Une fois que tout marches, tu décommentes une options à la fois, tu redémarres X et tu vérifies. Si pas d’erreur tu conserves, si erreurs, tu vires tout simplement la ligne incriminée.

Ce qui m’étonne, c’est que tout ceci n’est pas indispensable et qu’à première vue son xorg n’est pas mauvais, mais bon si c’est la solution tant mieux :slightly_smiling:

effectivement, y a probablement pas besoin de “tout” ça (la section DRI en particulier).
mais comme l’a dit debcool, y a un truc en trop dans son xorg.conf

Je me suis basé, évidement sur ce qui fonctionne chez moi. Il est difficile de voir le comportement d’une machine que l’on a pas entre les mains :open_mouth:
En ce qui concerne le dri, le log de X indique clairement sont utilisation par le pilote ATI, ainsi que mon /proc…
Pour les lignes commentées(#), l’idée était de ne pas lui donner des paramètres éventuellement non-supporté par sa carte(histoire de ne pas jeter d’huile sur le feu).
Quant au doublons qui apparaissent dans le fichier, c’est inévitable. J’ai essayé plusieurs fois avec différent pilotes ATI sur différentes config et le résultat est tjrs le même; il ajoute les nouvelles valeurs de config en ignorant celles déjà présentes dans le fichier. De mémoire, cela n’arrive pas avec les pilotes nvidia.

Problème, j’ai rebooter, et la je peux plus démarrer car problème de Xorg.conf, je dois remettre a 0.00,
Donc je tombe sur un terminal, je me logue, je me logue en roots, et la je fais gedit du xorg.conf mais je ne peux pas utiliser gedit sur un terminal texte …
Comment faire pour changer cette ligne sans gedit ?
