Carte vidéo Ati radeon x1950

Bonjour à tous et toutes!

J’aimerais installer le pilote proprietaire fournit par amd…mais après plusieurs lecture, je crois qu’il y à un incompatibilité avec ce pilote et le kernel de squeeze… En fait je n’est trouvé aucun forum pour qui ça à marcher, pour la radeon x1950… meme les wiki disent de mettre le pilotes libre…

Alors si je ne peux pas mettre le pilotes proprio et bien j’irais pour le libre!
De ce que je sais le pilotes libre pour radeon x1950 est le chipset r570, qui se retrouve ds le paquet radeonhd…
Ds synaptic j’ai d’installer xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd-c 1.3 et xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd 1.3 et radeontool 1.6, j’ai des film qui lag a l’infini, les jeux 3d ne marche pas et j’aimerais bien regler cette bouillit :wink:

Je ne sais pas si ça marchera avec ta carte mais tu peux toujours essayer :

  • installe le paquet firmware-linux-nonfree (dans les dépôts non-free)
  • Redémarre

J’ai refait une install de debian squeeze 6.0.7 +xfce4…

J’ai installer le paquet non-free.deb + reboot et je lag toujours autant, donc ça n’a pas vraiment marcher…

Si j’install - xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd + dbg, ça change rien…

Pourtant le pilotes r570 (qui est le pilotes radeon x1950) se retrouve ds le pacquet radeonhd…??..

Si je m’es ce pilote (radeonhd), faut-il que je désinstalle les pilotes de base? ou c’est une question que le 3d ne marche pas?

Tu peux installer le pilote catalyst de chez AMD. Il devrait être compatible avec ta carte.

Bien lire les instructions d’installation.
S’il ne fonctionne pas, tu supprimes le /etc/X11/xorg.conf créé par le pilote.

Il y a aussi un pilote proprio dans les dépôts non-free, mais il ne semble pas compatible avec ta carte.

Au lien web de macastro, sgfxi ne peu pas s’installer, car le pilote est trop recent pour ma vieille carte… ;(

Et pour le pilote ati, j’avais deja essayer de l’installer sur xubuntu 12.10 sans succes et maintenant sous debian et toujours la meme erreur…

oui libgl1-mesa-dri, était déjà installer…
et j’ai supprimer xorg.conf, j’avais xorg.cong + 3 autres xorg.conf avec des date (xorg modification j’imagine…?)
Je l’ai ai supprimer aussi :wink:

Pour le support de la 3D il te faut au minimum opengl 2.1 et mesa 9

J’ai installer avec synaptic : libcoin60-dev 3.1, pour opengl

et pour mesa, j’ai trouver mesa 9.1.zip, sur leur site, mais je sais pas comment l’executer ou le placer au bon endroit! :wink:

Est-ce qu’il y à une possibilité pour augmenter la performance 3d??

Le jeux “OpenArena”, fonctionne, mais lag en présence de quelques joueurs… et j’ai des documentaires (3d) qui lag, malgré tout…

Les drivers non-free offre généralement plus de performance, à part cela je vois pas trop, à moins de sacrifié un peu la beauté: diminué la qualité d’affichage depuis l’application de la carte graphique ou directement dans tes applications s’ils le permettent ou les deux, moins la qualité sera bonne mieux seront les performances.
