Je m’essaie à ma première configuration d’une connection WIFI, et j’ai déjà quelques difficultés. Aucun des logiciels testés (knetworkmanager, kwifimanager, wifi-radar) ne semble détecter un quelconque réseau sans fil. Je suppose donc que ma carte n’est pas reconnu. L’interrupteur de connection sans fil est bien en position marche (depuis le boot) et la diode de wifi ne s’allume à aucun moment.

L’ordinateur est un Thinkpad T500.

oui tout en root ou bien utilise sudo

je vois que ton firmware est déjà en place donc il ne te reste plu qu’à te connecter ainsi pour scanner les réseaux

# iwlist wlan0 scan

et pour te conneter au réseau que tu auras choisi

# iwconfig wlan0 essid tonessid

ensuite

# dhclient wlan0

et normalement c’est bon

normalement il faut activer ta carte wifi avec ton clavier tu as une touche je pense pour activer ta carte wifi, non ?

J’ai effectivement un interrupteur pour le WIFI. Celui-ci est sur on depuis le boot. J’ai aussi une combinaison de touches qui utilise la touche Fn du laptop, mais celle-ci (et bien d’autres !) ne fonctionnent pas.

J’avais résussi avec un autre Thinkpad (et une autre carte WIFI) à me connecter avec une Kunbntu en veillant seulement à laisser sur on l’iterrupteur.

essaye d’activer ta carte à l’aide de la combinaison de touche meme si le voyant ne s’allume pas, sur mon pc j’active le wifi (à l’aide de fn et fin) sans que le voyant ne soit allumer mais cela fonctionne quand même, je pense que cela est du au fait que sous debian certaines fonctionnalités des claviers et voyants ne sont pas prit en charge vu qu’à l’origine cela était réservé à windows…

Ps : je me déonnecte la, donc peut etre que qqn d’autre voudras bien t’aider en tout cas bon courage :smiley: j’ai dit à peu près tout ce que je sais sur ce sujet là.

peut etre que le paquet laptop-detect (Tente de détecter un ordinateur portable et donc sa config de clavier et comb de touche etc…) permettra la prise en charge de certaines fonctionnalités de ton pc portables, ce paquet est proposé par défaut dans l’installation de debian.

cherche tout les paquet qui commence par laptop en fesant aptitude search si laptop-detect ne fonctionne pas.

Donc le paquet laptop-detect était déjà installé.

Je viens d’essayer sous Kubuntu 9.04 (live-CD) et ça marche impeccablement (la connection et les deux boutons).
