Configuration Wifi Presario R3000

Bonjour à tous, votre forum m’a été d’une grande utilité pour ma première installation de DeBian!

Cependant je rencontre des problèmes pour la configuration de la Wifi sur mon portable Presario R3215EA sous lenny/sid.

la carte semble etre détecté mais après rien ! j’ai beau essayé de me connecter via networkManager, je n’y arrive pas …
Un coup de main d’expert serai le bienvenue !

A priori ton driver est bien installé. Vérifie quand même qu’un # iwlist scan t’affiche bien les réseaux.

Si network-manager te fait des siennes, tu peux utiliser wicd : wicd.sourceforge.net/

Sinon tu peux te connecter en console, mais il nous faudrait plus de renseignements : Tu es en DHCP ou IP manuelle ? En WEP ou WPA ?
Que donne cat /etc/network/interfaces ?
Et si tu n’es pas en DHCP, que donne cat /etc/resolv.conf ?

Le paquet wpa_supplicant doit être installé.
Remplaces « wext » par un autre driver si besoin (wpa_supplicant -h pour la liste des drivers). Mais normalement pour du broadcom c’est wext…
Si ta clé est en ASCII, il faut la mettre entre guillemets (") (ou la convertir avec wpa_passphrase Nom_du_réseau Ta_clé_WPA)

salut merci pour les infos, j’ai pas vraiment eu le temps de tester, mais je vais le faire sans cryptage wifi, dans un premier temps pour voir si déja ça marche … :wink:

j’ai essayé avec une clé wep (j’ai pas réussi à désactiver le cryptage sur free ), et ça ne fonctionne toujours pas, je vois bien les réseaux environnants mais impossible de se connecter.

Si vous avez des idées.

J’avais oublié, après avoir modifié ton fichier interfaces, il faut recharger la config avec :

Sinon, en WEP, tu peux te connecter sans modifier le fichier interfaces en faisant :

(le fichier interfaces te permet seulement de ne pas retaper la commande après chaque redémarrage)

Un redémarrage n’est pas sensé prendre en compte les nouveaux paramètres ?

Si ! « /etc/init.d/networking restart » ça évite simplement de redémarrer complètement la machine pour ça.

Un composant de linux est considèré bugué si on ne peut pas le reconfigurer sans redémarrer la machine. Théoriquement, seul un changement de noyau nécessite redémarrage, et encore, avec kexec-tools, même plus de vrai reboot physique pour ça, même pas à chaud.

Tes logs ne montrent rien de particulier. Juste que ça ne se connecte pas.
Tu as bien mis la version cryptée de ta clé, obtenue avec wpa_passphrase comme conseillé plus haut.

Mais tu parles bien de la version cryptée, ce que génère wpa_passphrase quand tu lui passes en argument le password wpa fourni par free ?
Parceque je ne connais pas trop free, mais ça m’étonne qu’ils fournissent des clés wpa avec de tels caractères.

Apparemment, les clés générées par free sont déjà en wpa-psk.
Je ne m’y connais pas trop en la matière, mais perso, j’ai juste mis la clé dans le fichier interfaces telle quelle, sans guillemets et sans conversion (de toute façon, wpa_passphrase ne veut pas me la convertir, je pense justement à cause des caractères spéciaux). Et ça fonctionne sans problèmes…

Bon alors, pour la clé, généré par Free, j’ai un truc du genre Ns2!B4] etc …

je la convertie avec wpa_passphrase

et je rentre le résultat dans /etc/network/interfaces.

ce qui m’inquiète c’est que quand je fait un /etc/init.d/networking restart

j’ai au début un joli message Network unreachable (réseau inaccessible in french!), puis les tentatives de connexion.

Mais as tu aussi essayé de la mettre brut sans la coder ?
