Sauriez-vous comment procéder pour supprimer ces erreurs ?
Je précise que je suis vraiment débutant.

En lisant ce que émet la commande apt-get update on se demande quel est le système sur lequel vous avez lancé cette commande. Il semblerait qu’un développeur fou s’est fait plaisir en introduisant moult dépôts de paquets du temps de la version “jessie” de Debian (Debian 8).

Pour y voir plus clair, donnez les retours de

lsb_release -a
grep  '^deb' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* /etc/apt/sources.list
apt-cache policy base-files

et j’en oublie certainement ont atterri sur votre système ?

Dans sa version actuelle (buster == debian 10), il y a environ 51 000 paquets binaires qui sont disponibles. Visiblement, cela n’a pas l’air d’être suffisant pour certains.

Les ppa sont des dépôts personnels de paquets logiciels d’après le wiki ubuntu. J’aurais plutôt tendance à traduire ppa par “paquets personnels amateur”. Ils sont réservés à des développeurs (pour avoir des versions plus récentes des logiciels) et ne sont pas suivis par l’équipe de sécurité. Ce n’est pas le domaine des débutants.

je travaille dans une asso, on a des ordi de récup avec debian installé dessus. J’ai personnellement voulu rajouter certains paquets (je suis plus familier d’Ubuntu) mais je pense que j’ai fait n’importe quoi :slight_smile:

c’est tellement mélangé que je supprimerai tous ces fichiers sources

pour utiliser Debian 8 Jessie il suffit de

Ce monstre de Frankeistein fait de petits bout de plein de trucs différents !
À ta place, je ne verrai qu’une seule solution : le napalm. Tu réinstalles tout de rien et tu recommences avec des bases saines. En plus, tu en profites pour utiliser une version plus récente de Debian.

Une réinstallation, ok. bon, je pense que je vais mettre ubuntu (j’ai peur que Debian ne soit trop complexe pour le temps que je puisse consacrer à sa compréhension)

Ubuntu avec Gnome peuvent s’avérer trop lourds pour un matériel un peu ancien.
Il existe des versions light.

Tout comme pour Debian, avec des environnements de bureau légers.

Je ne te conseille pas Gnome sur Ubuntu. (Je ne conseille jamais ni l’un ni l’autre)
Je ne connais pas les deux autres déclinaisons plus légères citées.
Nous sommes sur un forum spécialisé pour Debian.

Je suis d’accord avec grandtoubab.
J’aime beaucoup mon environnement Xfce.

À mon avis la machine dont tu as donné les détails peut faire tourner une Ubuntu “classique” sans problème.
Mais si tu trouves qu’elle manque de réactivité, je conseille Xubuntu qui en plus de sa légéreté a l’avantage d’être pas mal utilisée et surtout facile à prendre en mains.

C’est un problème d’éducation. Comment expliquer que si on demande le résultat d’une commande (par exemple lsb_release -a ), ce n’est pas la peine d’avoir un terminal en tant que root?

Va falloir lancer une campagne d’ampleur

  • J’ai installé Linux ne signifie pas j’ai Ubuntu
  • Dans le terminal, je ne suis jamais connecté avec l’identifiant 0 (root). J’utilise sudo en cas de besoin.
  • Avant d’installer un dépôt de paquets logiciels tiers, je réfléchis à deux fois.
  • Je n’installe pas Ubuntu ou ses dérivées car cette distribution se permet de
    a) saboter le travail des développeurs Debian (sur reportbug) en installant un outil parallèle qui ne permet pas d’insérer la moindre information pertinente sur le problème rencontré (me rappelle plus le nom de cette bouse)
    b) supprimer de la distribution Debian certains utilitaires indispensables à quiconque s’intéresse un minimum au système comme debian-goodies ( c’est le nom qui ne plaît pas à Canonical ? )
    c) installer le support du braille (paquet brltty et associés) quand bien même on n"a rien demandé et qu’on n’a jamais vu d’appareil braille de sa vie.
    d) prendre ses utilisateurs pour des neuneus.

À moins de le préciser systématiquement ou de procéder comme debian-facile.org ;
Je ne vois que l’erreur potentielle et l’apprentissage pour tous.

J’ai tendance à faire précéder d’un # les commandes à exécuter par root ;
Valider un commentaire n’est pas risqué.

Je ne suis pas contre, blotti dans mon recoin de campagne.
Il ne me manque que l’ampleur :wink: - Sans blague, comment tu vois la chose littlejohn75 ?

Autrement, Il serait bon de donner un lien à @JojoLaPatate pour qu’il puisse essayer
