Drivers NVIDIA

Bien le bonjour.
Donc bon voila, je doit installer les drivers Nvidia et j’ai suivi plein de tuto genre Coagul ou sur le forum d’ubuntu mais à chaque fois je me retrouve à devoir taper:

cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup /etc/X11/xorg.conf
init 6

Je sais pas trop pourquoi il marche pas mais bon j’ai deja installé:
nvidia-cg-toolkit
nvidia-glx
nvidia-glx-dev
nvidia-kernel-2.6.16-2-amd64-k8

nvidia-kernel-source
nvidia-settings
nvidia-xconfig

Par contre j’ai:
linux-headers-2.6.16-1-amd64-k8
alors que nvidia-kernel c’est 2.6.16-2 , mais j’ai trouvé que ca …

Bon en tout cas après un:

nvidia-xconfig

Je fait un ctrl+alt+<–
Et bon je me retrouve en blanc sur fond noir et il me demande mon login …
Bon je me met en root, je fait:

gdm

Mais il me dit que gdm est déjà lancé …
Alors je fait:

killall gdm
gdm

La l’ écran devient noir rapidement 3 fois à la suite puis une “pseudofenetre” (un carré gris sur fond bleu quoi ^^) aparait disant que X.Org ne peut pas ce lancer, donc je met OK, et la je vois ca:

Sinon ma carte graphique est une GeForce 6150LE … et uname -a = Linux Epsilon012 2.6.16-2-amd64-k8 #1 Sun Jul 16 01:27:59 CEST 2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux

bah on n’arrète pas de dire que pour installer proprement et sans problèmes les drivers nvidia sur debian il faut suivre le tuto de “trucs&astuces” en allant, au besoin, piocher dans les paquets sid.
Cette install se résume, en gros, à:

-installer nvidia-glx et le -dev qui va avec, ainsi que mesa-utils (pour tester 3 trucs une fois que tout est fini), module-assistant, les kernel headers / kernel-source qui vont bien.
-faire m-a a-i nvidia
-relancer le gdm / rebooter

c’est pas des masses précis mon truc mais tout est deja détaillé dans le topic dédié a l’installation des drivers nvidia qui se trouve dans la rubrique “t&a”.

En clair, ton problème est que ton module n’est pas adapté à ton noyau. Que tu ne le trouves pas ne va pas faire marcher le bazar pour autant. Bref, suis le conseil de Hoshin et va voir dans la rubrique Truc et Astuces le chapitre correspondant.

Si auparavent le.run du site nvidia a été installé, il vaut mieux commencer par le désinstaller : le procédure est indiquée par nvidia.
Sinon +1 pour la procédure de trucs et astuces
Une fois que le pilote nividia est installé dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg permet de choisir le pilote nvidia et la résolution d’écran souhaitée.

Vous savez pas ou on peut avoir les headers de 2.6.16-amd64-k8 ?

Surtout que sur kernel.org tu auras les sources et pas le noayu. La réponse est simple, là où tu as trouvé ton noyau, les harders sont distribués avec le noyau. Trouves là où tu as eu ton noyau et tu auras tes headers.

Pour Xorg.conf, à partir du moment où tu l’as modifié à la main, dpkg-reconfigure ne le modifie plus.

Ok, j’ai remis dans source.list le CDROM d’installation …

Bon en gros je vois /boot/grub/menu.lst donc bon je me dit qu’est ce qu’il fait (RAPEL: je suis pas très fort niveau linux) donc je redémare et la O_o il me propose 2.6.16-2 toujours mais aussi memtest86 et memtest86+ , bon je cherché justement ce qu’il fallait mettre dans menu.lst pour pouvoir l’utiliser mais il me met aussi le 2.6.16-1 et le 2.6.18-4, alors boot sur 2.6.18-4 il boot pas :unamused: (il faut pas aublié que c’est de l’unstable) et pour le 2.6.16-1: Kernel panic … Bon bè on va rester sur le 2.6.16-2 meme si on a pas le kernel-image on va essayer la suite …

alors la … quantité de memoire ca signifie pas grand chose pour moi je sais juste que ma carte a jusqu’à 256 Mo de memoire video partagé, bon rdv le site de nvidia il y a rien, ni sur aucun site alors bon 256 Mo ca fait 256000 et des poussieres, on va oublier les poussieres …

HELP ME!

Ton module n’est pas compilé, il est impératif d’installer les headers.

Tu fais plusieurs erreurs

  1. Tu travailles en root

  2. Tu ne suis pas les conseils qui te suggère d’utiliser module-assistant (qui t’aurais installer les headers corrects)

  3. Tu passes outre des messages d’erreurs au risque de planter encore plus ton système ett tu n’essayes pas de les comprendre.

Ta machine a la puissance des Cray one des ennées 80-90, il est normal d’aller doucement dans la mise en place du système. Tu peux y aller bourrin mais dans ce cas, prend une distribution où tu ne réfléchis pas ou passe sous Windows (là tu ne réflkéchiras plus du tout).

Bon, les headers consiste en les entêtes de ton noyau nécessaires pour que tout module puisse se compiler. Ils se composent

  • d’un paquet générique (que tu as installé)
  • d’un paquet spécifique à ton installation (que tu n’as pas installé)
  • d’un paquets de scripts (kbuilds) que tu n’as pas installé non plus.

Tu changes de noyau => Tu réactualises ces 3 paquets.

NVIDIA se compose

  • D’un module noyau (que tu n’as toujours pas)
  • D’un driver X11
  • De librairie OpenGL qui remplacent les libraires Mesa classiques

Tu as peut être le second et les 3 ièmes d’installés. X11 charge le driver Nvidia qui ne trouve pas le module noyau. Ça coince.

Suis attentivement les conseils des tutoriels et demandes quand il y a quelque chose que tu ne comprends pas et tout ira bien.

Une remarque enfin, le message «paramétrage du paquet» signifie que le paquet est en train de s’installer. Le coté sobre de Debian fait qu’il n’y a pas de sons de trompettes à ce moment là mais le paquet est quand même installé.

Essayes

apt-get install linux-headers-uname -a

et ne travaille pas en root quand c’est inutile.

Ca va, je suis aller sur le forum de lea-linux, en fait mon source.list avait un probleme et c’est pour ca que je ne trouvé pas les headers …
