Erreur d'affichage Gnome3 / Debian Sid / Xen

Bonjour,

Aujourdhui, retour de vacance, j’ai décidé de passer ma debian squeeze vers sid afin d’avoir gnome-shell, et les derniers drivers xen.
Je commence donc la migration en resolvant mes problèmes de dépendance et après un redémarrage j’arrive enfin à avoir ma debian unstable avec son noyau > 3.0 !

j’ai donc dans mon grub 8 choix possibles :

Jusque la tout va bien…

Je décide donc d’installer gnome-shell (sur mon Hyperviseur) et je redémarre (sur mon hyperviseur). Il me lance un gnome-shell avec des fonctionnalité réduite en me disant que mon PC, dont voici la config, est trop faible.

Core i5 3.10Ghz ; ATI Cedar PRO [Radeon HD 5450] ; 4G Ram

Bref ca devrait pourtant passé alors je me dis que je dois installer les pilotes ATI qui vont bien… je fais donc :

Je redémarre et PAF !
Le problème c’est que lors du derniere redémarrage sur mon Hyperviseur XEN pas moyen d’obtenir une interface graphique. Mon écran m’affiche un joli “No Signal, Monitor going to sleep” alors que si je démarre sur le Linux 3.2 “normal” il me lance un gnome-shell avec les fonctionnalités réduites.

J’ai bien évidement supprimer ce paquet mais le problème persiste. Je solicite donc votre aide pour connaitre la démarche à suivre afin de supprimer les serveurx et les DE proprement afin de tout remettre en ordre.
Je tiens à préciser que ce n’est pas une machine dite de production mais je suis néanmoins pas mal bloqué pour bosser ^^, j’ai toujours ou du mal avec xserver/xorg/etc… c’est très flou dans ma tete !

Avec le pilote radeon il faut installer le paquet firmware-linux-nonfree du dépôt non-free pour avoir l’accélération graphique

Bon j’ai continué mes recherches et j’ai actualisé mes savoirs sur les serveurs d’affichage Xorg et environnement de bureau Gnome, c’est déjà ça.
Je me concentre actuellement sur ma version de noyau sans le patch Xen on verra le reste après. Je sais qu’il fait trop chaud pour travailler mais j’ai vraiment besoin de votre aide… :blush:

Quand tu veux installer des “vieilles” versions qui ne se trouvent plus dans les dépôts principaux, il y a snapshot.debian.org :wink:

Pour repasser en Xorg 1.11, le plus simple (mais pas forcément le plus rapide) est d’essayer de downgrader xserver-xorg-core et xserver-common vers la version 2:1.11.4-1 ; apt te dira alors quels paquets installés empêchent le downgrade (probablement tous les xserver-xorg-input-* et xserver-xorg-video-* pour commencer, il faudra donc les downgrader manuellement eux-aussi) et de fil en aiguille tu auras une liste de paquets à rajouter à ton preferences pour le pinning.

J’avais essayé en récupérant les paquet sur http://snapshot.debian.org je ne trouvais pas xserver-xorg-input-all (donc j’avais tout opérationnel mais pas moyen de naviguer ou simplement ouvrir la session :smiley:)

Donc mon idée de départ était de mettre gnome-shell car la je l’ai en mode restreint. Avant de procéder j’aimerais avoir ton avis sur la marche à suivre :

1°) Je rajoute ta ligne dans mon source.list sus cité
2°) Je maj tout ça :

3°) Vu que je suis pas sur de savoir downgradé, je supprime tout les paquets xserver* (et gnome pdt que j’y suis ?) :

4°) Je réinstalle les paquets xserver principaux :

5°) J’installe mon driver ATI précédement téléchargé chez AMD http://support.amd.com/fr/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.42&lang=English en faisant :

chmod +x mondriver.run
./mondriver.run

6°) Je reboot

Mauvaise idée de tout supprimer, ça va être plus chiant qu’autre chose (car une fois tes paquets supprimés, pour les réinstaller dans la bonne version ça va être la même merde que si tu les downgrade directement). Oui quand c’est un paquet virtuel tu risques pas de le trouver dans les dépôts…

Du coup ça va être un peu plus long mais ça reste assez simple. La solution : pour chacun des paquets listés à gauche (xserver-xorg-video-apm et consorts) tu fais un apt-cache policy NOM_DU_PAQUET et tu regardes quelle version se trouve dans le dépôt snapshot.

Exemple :

# apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-apm xserver-xorg-video-apm: Installé : (aucun) Candidat : 1:1.2.3-3 Table de version : 1:1.2.3-3 0 902 http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ testing/main amd64 Packages 802 http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages 1:1.2.3-2+b2 0 802 http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20120320T161137Z/ sid/main amd64 Packages 1:1.2.2-2 0 902 http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable/main amd64 Packages
Ici il s’agit de la version 1:1.2.3-2+b2 que tu réutilises pour ta commande :

Même principe que précédemment :

  • tu cherches la version correcte de chaque paquet problématique et tu ajoutes la nouvelle paire paquet=version à la fin de ta commande
  • une fois déterminées toutes les versions tu réessayes la commande pour voir si ça passe
  • rincer, recommencer.
