Freeze sur deian testing

Bonjour,

j’ai fait une netinstall de la dernière version testing (lenny) de debian. Tout marhe bien sauf que…

au bout d’un certain temps d’utilisation, l’écran freeze, je ne peux plus rien faire à part rebooter la machine. J’ai essayé CTRL+ALT+F1 etc… rien ne marche à part un redémarrage sauvage.

J’ai regarder les messages dans /var/log/messages et voilà ce que j’ai au moment de chaques plantages :

Je sais pas ce que ça veux dire, alors un petit coup de pouce serait le bien venu.

disque dur de 200 Go (1 partition de 80 Go pour linux)
carte graphique : nvidia Geforce N6600GT
RAM =1 Go
carte son : AC’97 intégrée à la CM
debian testing (lenny)
kernel : 2.6.18-4-686
gdm+gnome

gconf c’est spécifique à gnome. Essaie peut être kde ou autre pour voir si le problème vient de gnome ou de X.

bon, j’ai installer fluxbox pour voir et ça continu de freezer de temps en temps, ça na viendrait donc pas de gnome.

as tu installé des pilotes, carte graphique, wifi …
Ce sont souvent eux qui provoquent un plantage total.
Si c’est un logiciel qui plante, ou le serveur X, tu as toujours moyen de reprendre la main.

oui, j’ai installer les drivers de ma carte graphique (gforce n6600gt) en utilisant module-assistant, lorsque je vérifie si l’accélaration graphique il me dit que oui :

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering" direct rendering: Yes

par contre lorsque ça plante il m’est impossible de reprendre la main, CTRL+ALT+F1 ne donne rien. Je suis obligé de rebooter.

c’est des messages familiers pour gconfd ça il me semble … je te proposerai de:

  • sauvegarder /var/log/messages par un:
  • vider /var/log/messages:
  • arrêter X
  • relancer X
  • Attendre que ça freeze
  • rebooter
  • Poster /var/log/messages ici pour voir:

# cat /var/log/messages /home/toi/messages-log && chown toi.toi /home/toi/messages-log

Sinon, c’est plus un processus qui bouffe toutes les ressources qui cause le freeze, donc, il faut que tu arrives à repérer lequel est-ce en gardant constamment un moniteur system ouvert par exemple …

Je ne sais pas pourquoi tout à l’heure je n’ai pas pu faire startx en tant qu’utilisateur (j’avais une erreur dont je ne me souviens plus). Mais la ça à marché, j’ai vidé le fichier /var/log/messages et j’attends un plantage pour voir.
