J’utilise jessie:

L’application “Vidéos” utilisant Totem 3.14.0-2 ne lit pas les dvds; elle lit cependant des vidéos enregistrées de Youtube.
Le dvd non lu est présent dans la liste de lecture de “Vidéos”.
Les dépendances et les plugins nécessaires sont installés.
Sur ce même ordinateur vlc lit les dvds.

Il te manque peut-être un paquet libdvdcss ou un truc du genre pour lire les DVD protégés?
Cherches dans synaptic “libdvd”, peut-être qu’une bibliothèque est manquante, c’est étonnant.
Regardes aussi si tu as les droits pour ton utilisateur,… mais bon, si VLC les lit.
Oui, VLC utilise libdvdcss pour lire les DVD.

Les deux retours ont l’air tout à fait normaux.
Il est possible d’augmenter le niveau de verbosité de 1 à 9.
Par exemple :
$ totem --gst-debug-level=3 /dev/sr0
En l’état, un rapport de bug n’aura pas beaucoup d’impact car … il n’y a pas de message d’erreur.

Il n’arrive pas à trouver le titre principal pour lancer la lecture.
J’ai visionné un autre dvd avec totem et vlc peut lire le dvd non lu par totem; ça me dépasse.
Est-ce que c’est rédibitoire ou y-a-t-il une solution?

vlc n’utilise pas gstreamer (gst) ce qui fait que le bug est sans doute dans gstreamer mais en lisant le code, qui n’a pas changé depuis jessie, difficile de dire ce qui cloche.
