Le sources.list qu'il me faut..?

Bonjour à tous,

Noob de mon état en ce qui concerne Linux, je fais ce que je peux pour comprendre et en l’occurrence aujourd’hui, je veux configurer mon sources.list pour qu’il soit en testing.
Et j’ai plusieurs questions “bêtes” qui m’aideront à comprendre le pourquoi du comment :

• Quel est l’intérêt d’ajouter les sources avec deb-src ?
• Quel serveur choisir ?
• Voici mon sources.list actuel qui me renvoie quelques erreurs, très probablement car mal configuré; mais j’attends les remarques pour l’améliorer. Mon but est d’avoir un sources.list le plus fonctionnel possible, qui me permet d’avoir une testing avec les paquets stable quand il faut. Je n’ai encore rien ajouté de multimédia puisqu’il semblerait qu’il faille gérer les préférences pour que ça ne pose pas de soucis (je suis preneur d’explications là dessus aussi à vrai dire).

C’est utile si tu veux compiler toi même. Sinon tu peux les enlever.

Quel serveur choisir ?

Le plus proche de chez toi. (remplacer http.us.debian.org/debian/ par fr)

Les erreurs en question aurait été utile ! A vu d’oeil, je vois un espace au lieu d’un - dans la 4ème source “testing-updates”.

Je ne suis pas sûr que testing-proposed-updates soit pertinent.

Pourquoi choisir testing ? (un choix qui ouvre à débat)

Pour éviter d’avoir à chercher toi-même le dépôt le plus rapide pour toi, tu peux utiliser http.debian.net.
Par exemple :

De cette façon, APT sera automatiquement redirigé vers le dépôt le plus rapide pour toi à chaque utilisation.

Cette méthode ne fonctionne pas avec apt-p2p ni avec smxi et c’est bien dommage

Pour connaitre les types officiels disponible, j’utilise l’url : ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/dists/ (ca ne concerne pas security).
Reste plus qu’a voir la doc pour faire le lien entre ces types (backport…) et leur signification.
