Opimisation carte radeon hd 5870

J’ai essayer d’optimiser ma carte graphique RADEON HD 5870.
Et pour bien faire je me suis rendu sur le WIKI,puis dans mon Terminal:j’ai ecris la ligne suivante:

Dans mon fichier /etc/x11 pas de fichier xorg.conf mais dans /etc/ modeprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf.
OPEN GL est non actif.
j’ai ensuite verifié la prise en charge d’AGP:

Installer les firmwres-linux-nonfree depuis les backports de oldstable.
Installer un noyau récent 3.xxx depuis ces mêmes backports.
Redémarrer, et ça devrait le faire.
Ensuite, le post explique comment régler la demande d’énergie de ton GPU.

Tu avais des morceaux de fglrx dans ton système !??
J’ai du mal à saisir ce que tu avais fait avant, ce que tu as fait depuis, et ce que tu n’as pas fait.

Alors je récapitule la marche à suivre :

  • mise en place d’un sources.list correct avec les backports de squeeze puis un update (pas un upgrade)

  • suppression de toute trace d’installation du pilote proprio fglrx comme expliqué dans le lien :

  • ensuite, depuis les backports, installation du nouveau noyau, du pilote radeon, et des firmwares non libres :
  • ensuite, avec un xorg.conf vide ou même inexistant, puis un reboot, ça devrait rouler.

Une fois ceci fait, tu pourras t’attaquer à la gestion de l’énergie de ta carte radeon.

Menfin, on est obligé de faire toutes ces manips parce que tu utilises une vieille version de debian (oldstable), qui ne sera bientôt plus supportée du tout.
Avec la stable actuelle, (wheezy), l’installation des seuls firmwares proprios aurait suffit. Il n’y aurait plus eu qu’à gérer l’energie.

cependant certains logiciel comme FreeCad fontionne dorenavant.

Le reboot s’est fait en deux fois…il a fonctionné.

dommage pour le 3.2 ,je passerais a wheezy dans quelques semaines le temps de le mettre sur un DD de 1.5to/7200tours

Quelques remarques d’ordre général :
Ce n’est généralement pas la peine d’utiliser sudo pour de simples commandes de “lecture” comme glxinfo, grep, uname.
Tu as conservé les deb-src dans tes sources. Tu comptes re-compiler des paquets depuis les sources debian ?
