OK pour ca...

J'ai viré gdm et je l'ai remplacé par kdm, qui lui me donne le message suivant:
"xsession unable to launch" "xsession ---" Not found; falling back to defaut session OK?

OK ben oui vu qu'il n'y a pas d'autre choix....
Et la c'est le plantage, comme avec gdm. Un rectangle blanc a la place du rectangle de debian.
A noter que la mise en veille de l'ecran fonctionne quand meme...

Parce que c’est possible et que cela m’a permis d’exclure gdm des causes du probleme.

Si tu as vraiment des doutes, une solution radicale : virer kdm, gdm, xdm puis démarrer en console et démarrer gnome avec startx
Les mises à jour peuvent se faire en console
