Problème avec Network Manager

Il n’y a nulle part d’icône de N-M. Quand je vais dans Clic droit sur tableau de bord et ajouter au tableau de bord, je ne vois pas l’applet de NetworkManager.

Je souhaiterais tout de même rester sur NetworkManager, car je n’arrive pas à installer Wicd sur mon lenny. Vous ne connaissez aucune autre application du type, à part Wifi-radar ?

Heu, maintenant je sais qu’il faut désinstaller N-M.

Voilà comment je procède :

Je vais sur ce lien et je vais dans “Other Distros” (et oui, je peux pas le télécharger par les dépôts sans internet). Je clique sur le lien stable et je télécharge le fichier wicd_1.5.9_all.deb.
Je le mets sur ma clé USB et je redémarre sur Debian. Je vais sur le répertoire où j’ai mis le paquet et j’installe le paquet avec la commande :

Mais, c’est là qu’il me dit qu’il y a un conflit. J’ai essayé de désinstaller N-M, mais là encore ça ne fonctionne pas. Il ne me dit pas qu’il y a un problème de dépendance.

Questions :

  • Wicd est-il compatible avec la version stable Lenny ?
  • Comment désinstaller “efficacement” N-M ?

J’ai finalement réussi à me connecter en ethernet. J’ai donc installé wcid avec succès. Mon wifi marche à merveille ! Mais…

Malheureusement, avec moi, il y a toujours un “mais”…

Mon clavier ne marche plus sous Linux. Je m’explique :

Quand je me connecte via GDM, mon clavier marche. Ensuite, quand le système démarre, la DEL du Ver Num ne s’allume plus et quand je tappe du texte, ça ne marche pas non plus. Or, quand j’appuie sur je-ne-sais-plus-quelle-touche je ne sais pas combien de fois, la carte mère se met à bipper (enfin comme d’habitude quoi) et quand j’appuie sur Ctrl, je vois l’icône que j’ai choisi de faire apparaître quand on appuie sur la touche, dans Préférences ==> Souris. Le clavier fonctionne donc bien, mais il n’y a aucune réaction quand j’appuie sur une touche normale.

D’où peut venir le problème ? Merci d’avance pour vos réponses.

PS : Ca me fait ça quelques minutes après l’installation de Wcid.

A priori rien à voir avec wicd…

Tiens tu as regardé la conf. dans systeme/preference/clavier

J’ai réglé à moitié le problème, mais je sais plus trop comment :laughing: , sûrement par chance. Seul les touches hors du clavier numérique marchent. Le clavier numérique en lui-même fonctionne, c’est seulement les chiffres et les caractères du type / . + qui ne fonctionnent pas. J’ai regardé dans Système ==> Préférence ==> Clavier, mais je ne vois rien pour remédier à ce problème.

J’en profite pour faire un petit up. Vous n’avez aucune idée ?

As tu des erreurs dans les log de xorg ?

PS le pb étant différent de l’origine du thread (connexion wifi) tu devrais ouvrir un autre thread, tu aurais plus de chance d’avoir des réponses (meilleure visibilité)

Et merde, comme si ça ne suffisait pas, mon problème est dérésolu…

J’ai essayé de mettre mon ancienne carte wifi sur un autre port pci (donc j’ai gardé la nouvelle). Pourquoi ? Parce que je trouve que la carte que j’ai reçu est faible (25% de vitesse maximale, alors qu’elle était supposée faire du 108Mbps). J’avais donc deux périphériques de connexion : wlan0 (la nouvelle carte), wlan1 (l’ancienne). Wlan1 était reconnu, mais ne marchait pas. J’ai donc installé le paquet firmware-ralink (c’est ce paquet qui la faisait marcher avant. J’ai redémarré l’ordi, quand soudain je vois que wlan0 n’est plus reconnu et que wlan1 ne capte aucun réseau (mais fonctionne…). J’ai donc désinstallé le paquet firmware-ralink et éteint l’ordinateur. J’ai retiré l’ancienne carte wifi (soit wlan1) et allumé l’ordinateur. Wlan0 n’est toujours plus reconnue…
Quand je tappe ifconfig -a, seuls eth0 et lo apparaissent (aucun wlan).

D’où vient le problème ? Que pourrais-je faire ?

PS : Je n’ai pas touché au fichier /etc/network/interfaces

tu peux nous donner des sorties : style iwconfig, dmesg, lspci (avec les lignes reseaux), … en précisant bien à quelle carte elles sont associées
La marque précise de ta carte et le noyau utilisé.
Si tu veux utiliser ta ralink, il n’y pas de raison que ça ne marche pas. Enlève l’autre et mets la à sa place, puis donne les sorties demandées
