Bonjour,
Je suis sous debian sid, ma carte graphique est une intel utilisant le driver I915
sous ubuntu beryl marche a merveille et sous debian il me dise que: “No composite extension”. Je vais pas installer les drivers de nvidia pour avoir l’extension et de plus sous ubuntu je n’ai pas cette extensions dans mon xorg…
donc je ne sait plus quoi faire…
de plus pour info les commandes glxinfo et compagnie ne marche pas car je n’ai pas juge indispensable d’installer mesa-utils… j’avais essayé avec le paquet et ca ne marchait pas plus…
Merci a ceux qui pourront m’aider car j’ai pas trouve grand chose sur les cartes intel ici…

Sinon, tu as bien mis aussi les deux lignes:

alors je suis sous SID.
j’avais essaye avec l’extensions dans le xorg et les deux lignes dans screen et beryl relancais ma session j’avais meme pas le temps d’entrapercevoir un effet 3D…
Beryl me dis bien AIGLX enabled quand j’essaye de le lancer… donc je dois l’avoir je crois…

Ce n’est AMA qu’une question d’xorg.conf, et pas un truc specifique à ta i915.
Fais déjà tourner ta config en vesa (pour voir), puis passes avec le pilote spécifique.
alors j’ai tout suivi, je relance mon serveur graphique et quand je lance beryl je vois plein de PASSED donc apparament le probleme de l’extensions est reglé mais ma session redemarre avant que je puisse l’utiliser…

Je n’ai pas installer le mesa-utils car je doute de son utilité car j’avais deja ce probleme precedamment avec ce paquet…
Ben alors comment est tu sûr que l’accélération fonctionne sur ton ordi?
Utilise tu XGL?
justement je ne suis sur de rien!
je n’ai jamais rien compris a AIGLX et XGL pour une carte intel! normalement on a rien a installe en dehors de xorg pour avoir l’accelaration graphique!
et comme je n’ais pas les mesa-utils j’ai pas la commande glxinfo! qui me donnait NO si je l’installais…

bon, le module i915 est chargé

Bon apparament chez suse ils auraient tendance à dire qu’il faudrai passer par XGL, donc peut être t’orienter de ce cté là:

en revanche sur le wiki de beryl, ils ont l’air d’arriver à faire fonctionner les i810 avec aiglx… Donc au choix soit on cherche à résoudre le direct rendering soit on passe par XGL(corrigez moi si je me trompe)
ah et au fait, je n’ai pas de carte intel mais il n’y as pas des options à gratter dans le bios, non ?? genre ceci:

oui il est! enfin du moins je crois car j’ai active le i915 mais ya des endroits ou on me dis que ma carte devrait avoir le i830… la j’ai activé les deux je vais compiler…
