[Résolu] Drivers nvidia: pas de "nv" dans xorg.conf

Bonjour à tous :slightly_smiling:

Je suis un utilisateur récent de Debian (lenny) (après un long moment sous Ubuntu) et suis très heureux de cette distribution, tant par sa stabilité que par le fait qu’on y apprend beaucoup de choses.

Possédant une geforce 4, j’avais souhaité installer les drivers nvidia.
Résultat d’un lspci:

Or, dans tous les tutoriels que j’ai trouvé, on me dit de faire la chose suivante:

Pareil chez moi, xorg.conf minimaliste…
J’ai simplement rajouté la ligne sous « Identifier » dans « Section “Device” ».
Ce qui donnerai chez toi :

Et hop ça roule ! Tellement bien que je n’ai pas eu besoin de rajouter « Option “NoLogo” », le logo nvidia apparaissant puis disparaissant à la vitesse de l’éclair…

PS : Tu peux toujours utiliser dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg si tu veux étoffer ton xorg.conf (fais-en tout de même une sauvegarde avant)

Idem chez moi, xorg.conf ultra minimaliste, j’ai juste eu besoin de rajouter la ligne Driver comme indiqué par kna.

Mais j’ai aussi mis la ligne pour enlever le logo, même s’il est vrai qu’il n’apparaît que fugacement.

Au final, ça donne ça chez moi :

En gros tu n’as pas le bon driver. Du coup il ignore ta carte graphique et en cherche une autre, qu’il ne trouve pas.

Tu as suivi quoi comme tuto ?

Si besoin d’informations sur ma configuration, je suis sous Lenny 32 bits (à jour, avec le sources.list au carré également du forum trucs et astuces), un Athlon XP et une carte Geforce 4.

Il te faut le paquet nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx et le paquet nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx qui va avec.
