[Résolu] Encore un fil pour install de drivers ATI

Bonjour.

Je viens d’acquérir un thinkpad T500, qui contient une ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 (dixit lsmod). Problème, les drivers libres ne gèrent pas bien ma carte, qui chauffe énormément (ce qui n’est pas le cas sur Windows).

Je télécharge donc les tous derniers drivers Catalyst sur le site d’ati, et tente de créer des paquets pour ma debian lenny.

Cependant, au bout d’un moment :

En fait non j’ai été trop optimiste.

Tout se passe bien jusqu’au lancement de X, qui refuse de démarrer. Si toute l’installation s’est bien passée et que ça plante tout de même, j’en viens à penser que ma carte n’est pas encore supportée… :frowning:

Essaye fgfxi.
N’oublie pas de virer toutes tes tentatives d’install de driver précédentes, et de le lancer en mode console

J’ai retenté les drivers officiels. J’ai réussi à générer les paquets. Je les installe. Je lance un aticonfig --initial

Problème résolu : il fallait en fait que je désactive l’option Switchable Graphics dans le bios.
ENFIN ma carte peut fonctionner sans chauffer…
