[RESOLU] passer sur icedove 2.0 en restant en 'stable'

Bonjour,

Après avoir regardé pas mal de sujets, je me pose une question : comment installer icedove 2.0 (contenue dans la lenny) sans passer en testing complètement ?
cf paquet : icedove_2.0.0.9-3_i386.deb

j’ai essayé de télécharger les paquets nécessaires, mais j’ai fini par avoir un conflit avec le libc6… c’est pourquoi je pense qu’il serait mieux de l’installer via aptitude, mais je ne vois pas comment faire sans passer de stable en testing…

Autrement, il y a la solution des backports, mais je n’ai pas vu d’icedove 2 dans etch-backports.

c’est bien ce que j’avais pensé. cette libc6 utilisée partout…

sinon tant que tu es là, tu ne saurais pas comment repasser en français ?
je resitue la manip :

  • j’ai essayé de mettre manuellement les paquets ‘dont le libc6’ de lenny
  • après reboot, je me trouve avec l’heure en AM / PM, les menus en anglais, alors que le clavier reste en azerty…

tu sais d’ou ça peu venir ?

Passes carrément en sid: tu n’auras pus jamais ce genre de dilemme sur la question du changement de release.
Pour le français, dpkg-reconfigure locales (ou belocs-locales) peut être ?

Chez moi, j’utilise Thunderbird avec cette solution qui me donne la dernière version mise à jour (2.0.0.12) et ça marche génial. Bon je suis en lenny :

Dans tous les cas, bonne migration en Lenny ou en Sid. Je suis resté en Lenny même si certains ici diront que la Sid est parfois plus stable ! Ce qui est un paradoxe mais assumé.

Tu as encore 18 paquets en attente de mise à jour, fais un dist-upgrade.
S’il râle, tu peux passer par apt-get -f install avant de recommencer.
Et finalement, si ça ne passe pas, utilises dselect.

Il y a un backport disponible et qui permet de ne pas passer à testing/lenny :
debian-unofficial.org/backports.html
