[Résolu] Problème lancement Beryl

Bonjour à tous,

merci pour tous les tutos et autres réponses que j’ai pu trouver sur le forum,

j’ai presque réussi à lancer Beryl, seulement j’ai une erreur que je n’arrive pas à résoudre, j’ai vu cette erreur un peu partout sur le net mais pas de solutions, l’erreur est la suivante :
Xlib: extension “XFree86-DRI” missing on display “:0.0”.

mon système :
debian + gnome ( installe à partir d’un cd net inst )

je l’avais commente apres de multiple essais

ce qui est bizar c’est que j’ai installe les drivers Ati fglrx et lors dulancement de la commande fglrxinfo on dirais bien que non ?

quand je mets composite à Disabled dans mon xorg.conf, la commande fglrxinfo donne cela :

display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.

je ne comprends pas :confused:

Moi non plus, mais bon ATI et moi ça fait 4…

Et là ça ne fonctionne toujours pas ? Et lorsque tu lances beryl dans un terminal ?

A 1ere vue dans la section modules il te manques le dbe
Il te manques aussi l’option [quote]Option “XAANoOffscreenPixmaps” “true”[/quote] dans le device

donc :

Ymer : Nan cela ne marche toujours pas :frowning:
le problème est le suivant, si je lance beryl-manager en mettant composite à disabled j’ai une erreur:

Checking for XComposite extension               : failed

No composite extension
beryl: SmcOpenConnection failed: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
beryl: No composite extension

et si je le lance en le mettant à enabled je n’ais plus cette erreur mais une autre :

Didier : j’ai ajoute tout cela mais sans résultat, que te donne fglrxinfo ? tu utilise l’acceleration 3D de ta carte ati ?

Ceux qui souhaitent installer Beryl avec une carte ATI devraient donc suivre la procédure suivante: premièrement, vérifier si la carte graphique supporte la 3D avec les drivers libres. Si c'est le cas, installer Beryl normalement avec les drivers libres. Si ce n'est pas le cas, c'est un peu plus emmerdant: il va falloir utiliser XGL, voir ici. La réussite n'est malheureusement pas garantie...

je vais essayé, cela me parais correct puisque ca explique le composite a enabled qui empeche le driver de se lancer. :stuck_out_tongue:

merci à vous j’ai réussi à lancer Beryl en laissant le driver libre, mais cela rame beaucoup :imp:

j’ai pourant un P4 2.4 avec 1.5 gig de ram,

que puis je enlever comme effet pour alléger tout ca ?

En décochant la synchronisation vblank (dans les options générales de Beryl je crois) tu devrais pouvoir gagner un peu de fluidité.

Après le reste c’est toi qui vois, si tu en as besoin ou pas…

ok je vais teste ca, je veux installer Wow avec wine, du coup oblige de mettre les drivers proprio :frowning:

je vais tester plus tard avec XGL donc

de plus sans les drivers proprio le pc fige,
