[Résolu]Problème Nvidia sur Sony FZ18M

Bonjour,

Je me suis lancé dans l’installation de la debian etch sur un Sony Fz18M qui a pour carte graphique une nvidia 8400M GT.
J’ai récupéré les derniers pilotes sur le site de nvidia. J’ai effectué l’installation avec succès, à part un message du style "No matching precompiled Kernel Interface Was found …"
Lorsque l’installation, je lance startx ou gdm et l’interface graphique s’affiche sans problème et tout fonctionne correctement. Et là je me dis c’est génial, mais après redémarrage de la machine ecran noir, impossible d’accéder à l’interface.
Quelqu’un aurait il déja rencontré ce type de problème ???

Tu fais une recherche et tu trouveras tt ce qui concerne NVIDIA. :unamused:

Je regarde les posts concernant le nvidia. Ils t’expliquent comment installer la carte. Mais mon problème c’est que mon drivers s’installe correctement mais qu’il ne fonctionne plus en redemarrant. Sans redemarrage mon interface fonctionne correctement.
Je suis peut-être aveugle mais je n’ai pas vu de problèmes similaires sur le forum.

Tu n’as peut-être pas vu de problèmes similaires…

… mais je suis sûr à 200% qu’il n’est pas conseillé mais alors pas du tout d’installer les drivers avec les pilotes du site nvidia.

tu as bien regardé ds le tuto sur NVIDIA ds la section "trucs et astuces " ?
sinon, donne ici ton xorg.conf

J’ai essayé la procédure que tu m’as indiqué pas à pas, mais là je ne peut même pas lancer l’interface graphique rien ne marche.

c’est pas que “rien ne marche” ne soit pas précis (on sait deja que ca n’a pas résolu ton pb :stuck_out_tongue:) mais quels sont les messages d’erreurs que tu dois surement avoir ?

Ok désolé pour le manque de précision, voici mon log Xorg.
Ce qu’il ya c’est que au redémarrage un écran noir et rien d’autres. Je n’ai pas la possibilité de retourné en ligne de commande, je suis obligé de rebooté la machine.

As-tu bien désinstallé le driver du site nvidia avant d’utiliser la méthode debian ??

Si oui, j’ai peut-être une solution pour toi. Il n’y a pas l’air d’avoir d’erreur dans ton log Xorg.
Le module installé est celui de Etch (version 8776):

Or, dans la liste des cartes supportées par la version 8776, ta carte (8400M GT) n’y figure pas.

Elle apparaît à partir de la version 100.14.11 si on en croît le liste des cartes de cette version.

La version 100.14.11 est dispo en Sid. Ce que tu peux faire est de prendre les paquets dont tu as besoin dans les dépôts de Sid directement.

Normalement, pas besoin d’upgrader ta etch en sid.

Tu remplaces temporairement etch par sid dans ton sources.list
tu apt-get update
tu compiles ton driver (en version 100.14.11) avec module assistant
tu remets etch dans ton sources.list et apt-get update pour remettre à jour ta liste de paquets

Si par la suite, tu t’aperçois que tu as besoin de temps à autre de piocher dans les différentes version etch lenny et sid, je te conseille de créer un fichier preferences.
Pour cela, regarde le tuto de mattotop “Votre sources.list au carré”

J’ai trouvé les packages, mais ils se trouvent généralement dans le répertoire pool/non-free/nv etc…
Le problème c’est que je n’arrive pas à l’ajouter dans les sources list d’apt.
Qu’elle ligne faut il tapé.

Sinon j’ai récupéré les packages .deb mais lorsque je les installe, il y 'a plein de problème de dépendances.

sinon pour ceux qui comme moi préfère (à regret ceux du site officiel, et oui beryl fait des ravages et fonctionne mieux avec les drivers proprio)

et bien, modconf est votre ami. parce que malheureusement souvent il suffit de faire manuellement un modprobe nvidia après le redémarrage pour que ça fonctionne.

sur ma etch j’ai utilisé le script d’installation ENVY qui tout seul comme un grand m’a installé la version 100.14.12 à la sauce debian (en utilisant le module-assistant)
pour preuve:
il faut d’abord utiliser l’option 6 pour purger les anciennes versions puis l’option 1 pour installer la nouvelle

J’ai enfin réussi. Merci à tous pour votre aide.

Récapitulatif de ce que j’ai donc fait :

  1. Installation de la debian etch avec les packages pour portable uniquement.
  2. Installation de xorg avec la commande : apt-get install xorg
  3. Lancement de dpkg-reconfigure xorg avec les pilotes vesa (pour lancer l’interface en mode graphique)
  4. Installation du script ENVY via le site : albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html

5)installation des derniers pilotes NVIDIA via ENVY
les sites qui m’ont aidé

6)Installation de BERYL
avec le lien doc.ubuntu-fr.org/beryl

Et tout fonctionne sur des roulettes. C’est Génial.
Juste un petit truc pour la résolution de l’affichage, j’ai du modifier xorg.conf pour mettre la bonne résolution 1280x800 et non pas 1200x800 qui a chaque redémarrage ne se faisait pas.

Je réponds un peu tard mais il faut enlever pool pour avoir les sources Sid.
C’est pourtant marqué dans le tuto de mattotop… :confused:

AMHA, si tu n’avais pas les sources Sid activée dans ton sources.list, tu as le pilote *.run du site nvidia
Attention si tu upgrade plus tard ta etch en testing ou sid
