[Resolu]Server X: no display found

Bonsoir à tous!
j’ai un petit problême. j’ai essayé d’installer debian-etch sur mon ordinateur mais xorg.conf semble ne pas avoir la bonne configuration.
Tout est reconnu sous ubuntu 8.04.
les messages d’erreur renvoyés par le serveur X sont:
(EE) NV(0): No display device found
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

je n’ai pas la version longue du log d’erreur de Xorg car je ne sais pas où le trouver, s’il est essesaire marci de m’indiquer où le trouver.
je précise que j’ai une nVidia 86OOM GT.

en modifiant le driver “nv” par “vesa” j’ai un écran noir.

la solution serai-elle d’ajouter les sources “non-free”, d’installer le pilote en ligne de comande et d’utiliser le pilote proprietaire dans mon xorg.conf?

Les erreurs du genre b Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration[/b] viennent souvent de mauvaises valeurs pour les options HorizSync et VertRefresh.

Par contre, on fait comment pour connaitre ces valeures?

Encore une matinée de perdue, je n’ai toujours pas reussi à voir à quoi ressemblai debian…

après une matinée de recherche j’ai trouvé ces comandes:
ddcprobe, mais elle en veut pas me donner “EISA” et “monitorrange”… pas très utile donc…
pour l’instant:
quoi que j’essaye (sans HorizSync et VertRefresh, avec mais sans données, valeures par default), si je met:
driver “nv” j’ai le message d’erreur indiqué plus haut
driver “vesa” mon ecran s’eteint au lancemenat du serveur X et je n’ai plus qu’a le modifier depuis ubuntu.

Maintenant je me demandais: est ce que installer lenny, et donc un Xorg plus rescent aiderai?
et sinon autre question: comment fait ubuntu pour fonctionner avec un xorg si restreint?

Tu as une carte nvidia récente et non reconnu par le driver nv. Les solutions

  1. Installer le driver nvidia propriétaire
  2. Installer un backport de X ou passer en lenny
  3. Passer en vesa.

Je te suggère de faire passer le
DefaultDepth 16
en
DefaultDepth 24

Puis de regarder le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log
$ grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
$ grep WW /var/log/Xorg.0.log

je precise que mon architecture est AMD64.
lenny, est en téléchargement pour le moment; je vais essayer avec les pilotes proprio de nVidia.

change /dev/psaux en /dev/input/mice
ça ira mieux

ok, j’ai mis à jour (apt-get dist-upgrade) mon système vers sid (avec les sources au carré et tout marche comme sur des roulettes!
(il me reste plus qu’a avoir du son :wink:)
