(résolu) Xorg ne reconnait pas ma carte graphique

Bonjour,

Je suis sous debian etch, fraîchement installée. Ma carte graphique (Nvidia Geforce4 MX440) n’est pas detectée, quelque soit le driver employée (nvidia installée avec module-assistant, vesa ou nv n’ont pas fonctionnée). Voici le type d’erreur obtenue :

Je vais me coucher, j’ai dû faire une connerie quelque part c’est pas possible (jamais vu une telle erreur).

On n’est pas ts couchés :laughing:
Essaie de commenter la section DRI en entier et la ligne ‘dri’ ds la section "modules"
si pas mieux, essaie avec le driver NVIDIA en suivant le tuto ds “trucs et astuces”

je vais peut-être (et même sans doute) dire une bétise ; mais est-ce que 1:0:0 est normal ?

c’est une histoire d’emplacement de port PCI je crois, si tu n’y as pas touché et que c’est ta Deb qui a mis ca la, il y a des chances que ca soit bon et qu’il ne faille pas y toucher.

Si tu commences par utiliser vesa pour etre sur, je te conseillerais de commenter “Load “glx”” dans la section modules (juste en dessous de tout le bloc avec les fontes) et de laisser dri tranquile. Si ca marche comme ca tu pourras tenter les pilotes nv en ne changeant pas grand chose.

Sinon si ta carte n’est pas toute jeune (et une MX440 ca commence à dater un peu) tu peux t’intéresser au tuto fourni sur le site mais en utilisant les dépots “legacy” (nvidia-glx-legacy et nvidia-glx-dev-legacy ou un truc du genre) a la place de nvidia-glx et nvidia-glx-dev. N’oublie pas d’installer le kernel source nvidia qui va avec.

J’ai peut-être laisser faire des erreurs (j’ai utilisé la configuration ~automatique/semi-manuelle) mais ça m’étonnes que ce soit dû à ça :slightly_smiling:.
De plus, j’ai déjà verifié la piste du mauvais driver car la carte serait très ancienne, mais j’avais déjà utilisé ce driver et pas le legacy lorsque j’avais mis une gentoo, et ça avait bien fonctionné (et puis si vous me croyez pas, c’est marque là :smiley: gentoo.org/doc/fr/nvidia-guide.xml )

Je vais tester en commentant certains modules, et puis si ça ne marche, j’essayerais à partir du .run fournie par nvidia.

Sinon à part ce petit soucie, quel joie de retrouver debian ^^

Je pense qu’il suffit de mettre quelque chose comme “PCI:5:0:0”, d’aprés ce que dit lspci “PCI:1:0:0” devant correspondre à la première carte (mais je ne suit pas sûr de comment se transpose la position de la deuxiême carte).
Enfin c’est cette ligne là qu’il faut ajuster AMA.

Le problème est réglé, je n’avais pas assez bien précisé le identifiant du port pci (plus d’autres problèmes…). Je mets mon xorg.conf une fois le problème réglé :
