[Squeeze] Xorg long à charger ?

[Config en signature]

Bonjour à tous,

Je me permets de poster car, malgré avoir cherché, je ne trouve pas de solution à la difficulté qui e présente à moi.

Symptômes :
Temps de passage du login (gdm, xdm…) vers le desktop long (environ 20 secondes).
L’affichage fait des traits horizontaux discrets et qui bougent, comme une carte graphique qui s’initialise.
J’ai essayé avec ou sans compiz, même résultat.

Idées
J’ai donc tenté un changement de manager : gdm -> xdm; le problème persiste.
Après désinstallation de Xorg le chargement du système est rapide (en ligne de commande donc).
J’apprécie beaucoup la ligne de commande mais pour le net, ce n’est pas très pratique :slight_smile:

Je penche donc pour un problème lié à la carte. Mais comment en être sûr et surtout, comment le régler ?

T’es en stable , testing, unstable ? [edit] c’est dans le titre , au temps pour moi [/edit] --> je pense que xorg a des petits souci en ce moment dans testing: leqeul as-tu: apt-cache policy xserver-common (c’est lui qui pose pb en ce moment)
Que raconte les logs de xlog ?
Quel module as-tu choisi pour ta carte graphique (le i945)?
Une fois le desktop chargé, tout est fluide ?

Regarde aussi ce que donne un simple startx en ligne de commande, puis si ça coince, un

$ xinit xeyes

Tu peux également fouiller le .xsession-errors et changer de résolution.

es modules, j’avais installé ceux correspondant à la famille de chipset. Je tenterai (demain) de les réinstaller pour voir.

Une fois le desktop chargé, tout est nickel. Et lorsque je me log out, le retour au bureau ne prend que 2 secondes maxi (comme ce devrait être quoi).

A fran.b :

startx en user normal est refusé et en root, me dit qu’il est déjà lancé.

Autre point : avec ou sans hal, le résultat est équivalent.

J’ai vérifié et il semble effectivement que le xorg soit encore un peu buggué.
Les fichiers de chargement et autres scripts ont été relus et rien n’y fait.

Ce qui est bizarre c’est que tout le monde ne semble pas avoir le problème (l’informatique et les incompétents les mystères)

Si toutefois vous aviez une idée, je suis franchement preneur :slight_smile:

Pour faire le startx, arrete gdm ou kdm avant bien sur ou bien éventuellement fais en console
startx – :1
ou xinit xeyes – :1

Je t’avais indiqué cela suite aux messages de pas mal de gens sur ce forum concernant le passage de xserver-common de la version 2:1.7.7-3 à la version 2:1.7.7-4.
Mais leur pb ne correspond pas vraiment au tient (c’était plutôt un pb de cpu surchargée).

C’est exact.
Je vais laisser encore un peu tourner comme ça et quand la squeeze sera stable, je reprendrai les chaoses en main.
Pour le moment, je ne suis pas gêné plus que ça…
