Known Issues

The ath5k driver is in a constant state of development, with varying levels of support for chipsets depending on their age.

AR242x chipset

Found in the Acer eMachines D620 laptop, among others. This suffers from a "noise floor calibration timeout" bug, which means the wireless may not function after installing Lenny. The bug is fixed since kernel 2.6.28.1.

Lenny users: install a backported kernel 2.6.29 (or later) image package from Debian Backports.
à la commande lspci -nn | grep Atheros

02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter [168c:001c] (rev 01)

selon

wiki.debian.org/ath5k#supported

merci d’avance

Que donne uname -a
ifconfig -a
iwlist
backports.org/dokuwiki/doku. … structions

deb http://www.backports.org/debian/ lenny-backports main contrib non-free

une idée? :115

###############################################

lenny

deb http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free

lenny multimedia

deb http://mirror.home-dn.net/debian-multimedia lenny main
deb-src http://mirror.home-dn.net/debian-multimedia lenny main

lenny security

deb http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ lenny/updates main contrib non-free

volatile

deb http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main contrib non-free
deb-src http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile lenny/volatile main contrib non-free
Et tu mets tes backports ensuite.
(puis aptitude update)

D’apres ifconfig, wlan0 est présent
donc un (root) : ifconfig wlan0 up

wiki.debian.org/ath5k

Donc ton noyau supporte cette carte nativement rien à faire sinon ifconfig wlan0 up et configurer la connexion (network manager, wicd, interfaces, etc.)

le quel ? là est la question ?

packages.debian.org/lenny-backports/kernel/
