Carte PCI Maxtor S-ATA/150 non reconnue

Bonjour,

J’'ai acheté un disque dur Maxtor de 300Go en IDE.
Mes autres nappes étant occupées, je le branche sur une nappe reliée à une carte PCI qui était fournie avec.
La carte est une Carte SATA-PCI 150
URL raccourci

On peut brancher 2 SATA ou une nappe pour 2 IDE.
J’ai branché le disque sur la nappe IDE.

Au boot le bios se charge, puis le bios de la carte.
Sous windows aucun probleme. La carte est reconnue, le disque aussi.

Sous linux je n’ai accès à rien.

Ma distrib est une "debian testing i386 installée le 20/01/2007.
Le noyau est un "2.6.18-i686"
carte mère Asus P4P800
Processeur P4@2.4ghz

Sur le site de Maxtor on trouve bien les pilotes pour toutes les versions de windows, mais rien pour linux.

Avez vous une solution à pars acheter une autre carte PCI/IDE compatible linux ?

Il y a peut être un réglege dans le BIOS pour que le disque IDE soit pris en compte (Windows passe souvent outre les indications du BIOS…)

  • Je lutte avec les reglages IDE de mon bios qui en plus me semble buggé.
    Il faut que je relance la config du bios 2 fois et au bout du 2e boot mes reglages sont pris en charge.

  • J’ai le choix entre un “compatible mode” (dos, …)
    . primary pata + sata
    . secondary pata + sata
    . Pata ports only

  • ou le choix avec “enhanced mode” (W2K, XP, …)
    . “pata only”
    . “sata only”
    . “pata + sata”

Quand je change les reglages, sous linux j’ai pratiquement tout le temps des erreur :
hda : dma_timer expiry : dma status == 0x64
hda : dma interrupt recovery

Je ne peux plus booter sur linux avant d’avoir retrouvé le bon parametrage IDE du bios.
Je te poste le resultat de tes requêtes dès que ça redemarre.

Sur cette carte PCI Maxtor sata/150 il y a un disque de connecté. Ce disque est un Maxtor 300 Go . découpé en deux volumes.
vol 1 = 100 Go
vol 2 = 200 Go

les deux volumes sont en ntfs (pour l’instant)

lshw voit la carte mais pas le disque :-/

Essaye de faire un modprobe sata_promise, (j’ai copie le «lspci -n» sur
kmuto.jp/debian/hcl/ fait la même chose en beaucoup mieux (il est plus complet) mais là il est HS apparement (ça lui arrive de temps à autre, c’est pour ça que j’avais fait le script modules.php mais moi je n’utilise que les sources du noyau et sur les périphériques PCI ou USB seulement donc c’est très incomplet, le gars a fait vraiment un boulot remarquable).

Après recherches, c’est un bug du «driver», peut être en changeant de noyau… mais un 2.6.18-3 c’est déjà récent…

Bon, j’ai aussi un chipset bancal, que je ne fais à peux prés bien marcher qu’en spécifiant ‘pci=routeirq’ ou mieux un ‘pci=assign-busses’ au noyau.

Tu as bien grub ?
Tu te positionne sur la ligne de lancement de ton noyau, tu tapes 'e’
Tu te positionnes ensuite sur la ligne “kernel…”, tu fais ‘e’,
Tu fais les modifs que tu veux (tu ajoutes pci=assign-buses, par exemple),
Tu sors avec 'entrée’
Tu tapes ‘b’ pour booter.
Les changements ne sont que temporaires. Si tu veux ajuster définitivement, tu reportes la modif qui fonctionne dans /boot/grub/menu.lst, dans la ligne “# kopt=…”

Une solution brutale consiste à importer le sata_promise du 2.6.19 sur le 2.6.18-3 de la debian:

En clair
chargement des sources de debian, chargement à coté du dernier 2.6.19-dernier-cri-sorti-il-y-a-3-minutres, tu récupères le code du sata-promise de ce noyau et tu écrases froidement celui du 2.6.18-3 de debian. Tu compiles avec la configuration de debian (sans installé), tu cherches dans le résultat le module sata_promise.ko et après avoir déplacer celui de ton noyau, tu le mets le nouveau. (Tu peux faire un rmmod suivi de insmod). Là tu regardes si ça marche mieux. Si ça marche, il ne reste plus qu’à entériner la chose. Peut être faudra-t-il refaire l’initrd si ton module est dedans…

En attendant essayes le pci=assign-busses ou pci=routeirq
essayes aussi noapic.

C’est sur que ce serait le plus simple. Si j’ia bien compris le pci=assign-busses permet au noyau de forcer l’assignation des BUS PCI (ce qui permet de régler des pbms de conflit avec un firmware), par contre que fait pci=routeirq? Je ne connais pas ce truc et ne l’ai pas vu dans le BottPrompt Howto
