Je n’arrive pas à installer WICD
J’ai un fichier tar.gz que je décompresse.
Mais il n’y a pas d’"exe"
Je n’arrive à l’installer depuis synaptic
Il faut apparemment python que je n’arrive pas à installer.
Pfff ce n’est pas normal de galérer sur un pauvre pc de ce type.
Il y a forcement un autre problème et une autre solution

Dans debian on installe JAMAIS en décompressant des archives !

Pour installer un programme, il faut utiliser apt-get ou aptitude, dpkg, etc…jamais avec autre chose. (sauf si le programme n’existe pas autrement) Pourquoi ? parce qu’il gère les dépendances.

Le plus simple… c’est que tu te graves les DVD complets de ta distrib… le temps d’avoir ton interface USB/Ethernet. Parce que sinon, tu vas devoir chercher les paquets dépendants 1 par 1…

Ensuite, il faudra ajouter tes DVD aux dépots dans /etc/apt/sources.list.

Ensuite apt-get update (pour mettre à jour la liste des paquets disponibles)
puis, apt-get install lenomduprogramme

Il n’y a vraiment pas d’autre solution pour que je puisse avoir internet?
C’est donc logiciel.
Problème de driver? de carte? de mint?

Je n’ai jamais eu de problème de ce type sur du filaire surtout.

aucune idée… le soucis avec ce problème, c’est que pour appliquer les solutions qu’on te propose, il faut internet pour être efficace…
On peut pas te dire, quel paquet installer un à un… car c’est trop long, car on ne sait pas ce qui est déjà installé, car tu n’es pas sur une vrai debian, que sur un forum ou chaqun à ses occupations à coté…

Il y a un début à tout… se sera de plus en plus fréquent, puisque debian veut séparer les parties non libres.

Essaye un live CD ubuntu récent, si y a pas d’ethernet… c’est que tu as un gros problème… Si ça marche, tu pourras peut être voir comment il fonctionne pour reproduire sur Mint.

Et comme je te l’ai dit plus haut, si tu graves la distrib complète, tu aurras tous les paquets à disposition, et ce sera plus simple… Faut il encore que ta distrib ait les ISO de la distrib complète

Personne ne semble avoir relevé ceci :

Il y a des erreurs de format lors de la réception des trames Ethernet. La dernière fois que j’ai eu ça, la carte réseau était défectueuse.

Lorsque j’ai récupéré l’ordinateur (sous xp) , je n’ai pas vérifié si la carte réseau fonctionnait.
Et l’utilisateur ne m’a rien dit dans ce sens.

Je vais essayer avec un livecd ubuntu pour voir ou même faire une installation complète.

J’ai toujours un problème de démarrage , écran noir, je vois le pointeur de la souris.
Je suis obligé de démarrer en mode startx ou en mode recovery.

Si tu as un curseur sur un fond noir, c’est que tu n’as pas installé correctement ton environnement graphique…

Alors tout d’abord j’ai installé UBUNTU en remplacement de MINT.
Mais même défaut de connexion internet.
Mais depuis quelques jours, je n’ai qu’un écran noir et le curseur souris visible.
J’arrive à passer en mode root en recovery mode. Mais de là toujours pas d’internet.
J’ai essayé de faire des manip avec la clé usb/rj45 mais pas d’amélioration.
J’ai un changement lorsque je fais ifconfig -a:
J’ai eth0 et aussi un eth1.

Pourquoi MINT au départ: Produit stable sur deux autres PC (qui tournaient sous XP avant , config trop pauvre pour passer en windows supérieur)
J’ai UBUNTU sur un PC PORTABLE perso et j’en suis très content par rapport à mon besoin.
On m’a présenté MINT et j’avoue que pour les besoins que 80 % des gens utilisent sur leur ordi perso et familliaux, cela va très bien: internet, un peu de traitement de texte/ comptabilité simple qu’ils ne diffusent pas.
Donc gratuit , stable, simple, adapté à leur besoin.

Que me proposes tu en remplacement?

Est ce qu’une installation DEBIAN est équivalente? Qu’est ce que DEBIAN par rapport à MINT et UBUNTU?

Mais c’est pas ça qui résoudra ton problème…

Alors, une fois la console ouverte, tu te mets en root. et tu lances : dhclient eth1 -v

Bon alors je ne comprends pas ce qu’il se passe. J’avais laisser l’écran noir et maintenant il a démarré correctement et j’ai internet.

Mais le mot de passe que j’avais mis ne correspond lorsque je veux passer en mode su.
Je l’avais pourtant noté.J’ai essayé celui de la session (alors que j’avais configuré sans mot de passe pour la session.
Bon , tu vas me dire que c’est un moindre mal par rapport à l’état précédent.

J’essaie de retrouver mon mot de passe pour passer en mode su mais c’est étonnant qu’il ne fonctionne pas . J’ai aussi essayé en mode qwerty mais idem

Soit ton clavier est en QUERTY soit il l’était au moment de l’enregistrement du mot de passe

Pourtant j’ai essayé les deux.

Je suis en train de redémarrer mais c’est long.
Il reste longtemps sur le logo UBUNTU et il est dans des couleurs douteuses (vert genre monochrome).
Et maintenant je retombe sur l’écran noir et la souris. Pfff je ne sais pas combien il faut de temps pour avoir le lancement de l’OS.
Pas normal pas normal , moi qui prône la vitesse de démarrage de linux.

Peut être revenir sous MINT Maintenant que je peux avoir de l’internet et faire les manip pour l’avoir sur le port RJ45 de la carte réseau , non?

ton problème d’écran noir c’est qu’un problème de config… Soit un mauvais pilote, soit un mauvais fichier xorg.conf

démarre en mode vesa pour voir déja.

Une fois en mode vesa, tu envoies les résultats de :
lspci
lspci -v
uname -a
lsmod
dmesg
et du fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log

mode vesa?

Oui ou mode root ou recorvery, au démarrage tu choisis la 2ème option
