Debian : Problème retour pilote Nouveau

Bonjour à tous,

Voilà aujourd’hui afin de faire des tests graphiques, j’ai commencé par supprimer le pilote Nvidia et tous ses paquets attenants pour revenir sur le pilote Nouveau (paquets nvidia + xorg.conf + blacklist “nouveau”…).
Bref donc je reviens au pilote Nouveau, mais manque de bol quand je redémarre au moment où doit apparaître la fenêtre de login j’ai un jolie écran BLANC :mrgreen: qui m’informe que quelque chose ne va pas et qu’il faut se délogger et recommencer (c’est en anglais, si quelqu’un voit de quel genre d’écran je parle…).

Alors j’ai essayé de reconfigurer le fichier xorg.conf, j’ai essayé de réinstaller les paquets concernant “Nouveau”, rien à faire…
J’ai regardé dans les logs Xorg, et je n’y vois rien…

Si quelqu’un a une idée?

nous non plus , on ne voit pas tes logs Xorg ni le quelquechose qui va pas :wink:
d’autre part on n’utilise plus (sauf exception) le fichier xorg.conf

J’ai relevé ça en particulier qui pourrait être la clé de mon problème :

Pour le fichier [mono]xorg.conf[/mono] je suis obligé de l’utiliser lorsque je suis sous driver Nvidia, sinon X ne se lance pas. Par contre normalement avec le driver Nouveau je ne devrais pas en avoir besoin c’est vrai… Mais ça marche pas… :mrgreen:

Eh bien comme je l’ai dit plus haut, le serveur X ne démarre pas avec le pilote Nouveau (avec Nvidia pas de problème…), là ou devrait apparaître l’écran de login j’ai un écran blanc (écran de crash je suppose) avec une phrase en anglais “Something goes wrong…” et un bouton “Log Out”.

si tu supprimes xorg.conf ça donne quoi ? la même chose ?

sauf erreur , je ne vois rien concernant mesa dans ton log . est-ce qu’il est bien installé ?

Aucune idée mon fichier dmesg a toujours été vide depuis que je suis passé sous Debian et ce à chaque fois que je l’ai installé ou réinstallé… J’ai jamais su pourquoi.

Est-ce-que le paquet xserver-xorg-video-modesetting est essentiel pour configurer et lancer le serveur X avec le pilote Nouveau?

Si tu es sous jessie, je te conseille d’utiliser le noyau présent dans les backports pour résoudre ce problème :

Non je suis sous Sid thuban, je suspecte un problème de versions ou paquets cassés comme je l’ai dit plus haut…
la version de ABI ne correspond pas à celle du serveur, hors ABI est un paquet virtuel qui est fourni pas xserver-xorg-core. Une mise à jour récente m’a viré xserver-xorg-video-modesetting, problème de versions…

Donc je me demande si ce n’est pas ça qui fout la m…
J’ai même essayé de forcer le chargement du serveur X en passant l’option -ignoreABI mais ça ne passe pas.

D’où ma question, vu qu’avec le driver Nvidia ça marche, est ce que le paquet xserver-xorg-video-modesetting ne serait-il pas essentiel au démarrage du serveur X avec le pilote Nouveau?
A priorio ce ne sont pas des dépendances, mais…

désolé je n’ai pas d’expérience avec sid et ses problèmes d’instabilité,mais il faudrait vous assurer que tous les fichiers nvidia ont bien été supprimés,vous pouvez utiliser la commande “find” pour vérifier. Si vous avez utilisé la commande “nvidia-installer --uninstall” pour supprimer le pilote nvidia alors tous les fichiers du pilote auront été supprimés proprement.

Mais comme je l’ai dit j’ai vérifié que tout était bien supprimé, j’ai également vérifié que nouveau n’était plus blacklisté, et j’ai tenté sans fichier xorg.cong et avec xorg.conf adapté pour le pilote nouveau (c’est à dire avec driver “nouveau” dans la section Devices).
