Demander au noyau d'ignorer un périphérique

Bonjour à tous,
J’ai un eeepc901 dont un des deux disques SSD est MORT. J’ai installé un système debian sur une clef USB sur laquelle je boute, mais le dmesg de mon système n’arrête pas de m’envoyer des messages d’erreurs concernant ce disque. J’ai ouvert la machine, on peut démonter un des deux disques mais c’est pas celui qui bug, on peut désactiver les disques dans le BIOS mais apparemment ça ne suffit pas le noyau grogne quand même. Y aurait-il un moyen de dire au noyau de ne pas se soucier de ce périphérique?

la clef USB est /dev/sdb, c’est là qu’est le système en cours de fonctionnement, /dev/sda est le disque SSD apparemment mort, /dev/sdc est l’autre disque SSD qui marche encore.

Je vais peut être dire une bêtise car je ne m’y connais pas trop en eeepc.
Mais avant d’aller plus loin, pourquoi ne pas essayer de le désactiver dans le bios ?

Si c’est possible, ça me parait plus simple que de jouer avec les options du noyau.

J’essayerais la chose suivante: dans le fichier /lib/udev/rules.d/60-persistent-storage.rules tu peux insérer une ligne permettant d’ignorer un disque (en gros à l’évènement tu rajoutes GOTO=“persistent_storage_end”

Reste à caractériser l’évènement. Ce serait un truc genre

J’y crois à moitié mais essaye. Ça devrait limiter l’action du noyau à la découverte du périphérique puis c’est tout.

En espérant que le disque ne change pas de nom à chaque démarrage…

Visiblement ce disque n’est pas complètement mort puisque le noyau est arrivé à lire sa table de partition. Par contre l’erreur semble se produire lors de la lecture du début de la partition sda1. Donc il suffirait peut-être de supprimer cette partition.

ayé j’ai testé ta proposition françois, ça n’a rien changé. Les message d’erreurs apparaissent, dans la séquence de boot, avant le message signalant le lancement des scripts d’initialisation “initialising dependency based boot sequencing”.

Je précise que j’ai testé la machine avec une clef usb PUPPY linux et je n’ai pas vu ce message d’erreur, je vais vérifier.
[edit] vérification faite, avec puppy un noyau 2.6 même symptomes le noyau qui bronche dans dmesg mais il est pas du tout verbeux au démarrage par contre.

Je vais tenter ta proposition Pascal.

J’ai utilisé fdisk depuis une autre machine en ssh, lorsque j’ai quitté fdisk (“write table to disk and exit”) j’ai eu un message d’erreur dans le tty1 du eeepc:

Et si tu boutes en mettant sda=noprobe dans les options du noyau (je commence à être à court d’idées là…)

Au grub je fais “e” comme édite, puis j’ajoute sda=noprobe dans la liste des options c’est bien ça?

“media error”, ça me fait plutôt penser à une erreur de… médium (ouais, je ne me foule pas trop), c’est-à-dire de support physique des données.

Un petit badblocks sur ta partition pour vérifier quelle est bien “morte”.

Sinon, pour supprimer les messages de boot et retomber dans ta zenitude, “quiet” est ton ami

Le disque dur a subi une extinction sale (fin de batterie, pas de mise en veille) donc ça pourrait être une erreur physique?
J’ai supprimé toutes les partitions présentes sur sda avec fdisk.
Je teste quiet ASAP.

L’idée de Pascal qui marchera si c’est une erreur localisée du media consiste à éliminer un accès à la zone douteuse: Si le premier secteur est bon, tu fais une table où la première partition commence à partir du du bloc numéro 20000 par exemple (adapte). Dans ce cas le noyau n’accède pas aux blocs pourris. Mais pour un SSD, j’ai du mal à y croire…
