Disk externe usb introuvable

voila j’ai plein de periphs usb et elles sont toutes reconnus par ma debian wheezy 7.8.0 xfce , mais voila qu’on me file un disk pour que je puisse recupérer un dossier et y’a rien qui s’affiche:

/dev/fd0 est le fichier périphérique relatif à … un lecteur de disquette !!!

Ce ne peut pas être lui :wink:

Tu débranches la clé - pardon, le disk - en question … puis la rebranches et dans l’instant, tu tapes cette commande suivante dans ton terminal console préféré :

Donc, à-priori, le périphérique est “stocké” dans /dev/sdc :wink:

Maintenant, on vas chercher à savoir quel système de fichier, avec cette commande que tu as précédemment utilisé, modifiée légèrement :

Bon je me suis arrangée en bootant sur un PE livecd Windows -_- , le disk se montait bien, j’ai recup le dossier dessus.

C’est bizarre que sous Windows, tu l’aies vue … mais pas sous Debian.

Quel système de fichier est dessus ? Fat(32) ? NTFS ?

Peu importe le système de fichiers. C’est le disque lui-même qui n’est pas reconnu correctement. Il manque visiblement une série de messages du noyau identifiant le disque, ses caractéristiques…

C’est ce que je présuppose … de sa non-reconnaissance ! C’est même ma première idée … mais vérifier ce qu’il en est au niveau sous-système, et/ou que certains binaires soient installés, voire restituent certaines informations ne fait pas de mal, non ?!

Néanmoins, le sous-système USB semble le détecter.

Excuse-moi pour la commande lsusb, cela aurait été plus simple de te demander :

La ligne suivante [ 6612.368085] sd 5:0:0:0: [sdc] READ CAPACITY failed que nous retrouvons dans dmessg, et fort logiquement dans le journal du noyau, semble indiquer une défaillance matérielle de la clé … j’ai déjà vu du matériel correctement - encore pendant un laps de temps - supporté sous Windows, et qui montrait ses défaillances sous Linux.

Bien que nous nous doutons du non-support matériel du disque en question - au fait, il est censé être de quelle taille ? -, le test de montage suivant devrait démontrer sa défaillance, toujours avec les droits admin :

Histoire d’éliminer une très proche défaillance matérielle de ta carte mère, du proc ou de la RAM - plusieurs petits détails qui me font pencher en ce sens :

  • problème de lecture usb
  • problème de lecture du périphérique lecteur de disquette

Pour tester assurément la RAM, voire le CPU, tu as de bons outils, de stresscpu, et memtest … sur tout bon livecd, tel que SystemRescueCD ou UltimateBootCD :wink:

Le disk usb est neuf ^^ , ça me le fait avec un autre disk dur usb aussi de meme capacité, hormis ceux là tous le reste usb , clefs, dashcam, tel fonctionnent tres bien.

Je pense pas que le materiel ne gere pas le disk car en bootant sur un PE Livecd ce usb est géré, par contre avec pmagic 5.5 non et ma debian non plus !!!

La commande est « mount [-t type-sys-fichier] quoi où ».
Les détails se trouvant dans /etc/fstab peuvent être omis.
mount -a [-t|-O] … : monter tout ce qui est listé dans /etc/fstab
mount périphérique : monter le périphérique à l’endroit connu
mount répertoire : monter le périphérique connu ici
mount -t type périph rép : commande de montage ordinaire
Noter qu’on ne monte pas réellement un périphérique, on monte
un système de fichiers (d’un type donné) trouvé sur le périphérique.
On peut aussi monter une arborescence de rép. déjà visible ailleurs :
mount --bind ancien-rép nouveau-rép
ou déplacer une sous-arborescence :
mount --move ancien-rép nouveau-rép
On peut changer le type de montage d’un rép. :
mount --make-shared rép.

Un périphérique peut être nommé, comme /dev/hda1 ou /dev/cdrom, ou

Tu testes ton disque dur avec un WinPE et ça fonctionne sur la même machine ?
Et, pas sous Debian ?

Deux idées, en passant :

  • upgrader ta wheezy en jessie - pour avoir un OS plus récent, et surtout un kernel très récent, donc une meilleure gestion USB de ton périphérique -
  • upgrader le bios (asus.com/fr/supportonly/A7N … _Download/) - bien qu’apparement, il ne semble pas y avoir de problèmes de ce côté-là !

bon alors ça se confirme, effectivement non le pe windows c’etait sur une autre machine.

Je viens de tester sur cette machine a7n8x-e deluxe et effectivement pas vu non plus le disk usb.

le controlleur sil 3112 ne voit pas les disk sata de 500Go ou + , y’aurait une maj bios d’apres ce que j’ai lu sur google.

Donc c’est ma carte mere qui gere pas la capacité du disk :wink:

Qu’est-ce qu’un contrôleur SATA a à voir avec un disque USB ?
Je doute aussi que le contrôleur USB ou le BIOS de la carte mère aient quelque rôle que ce soit dans la reconnaissance des caractéristiques d’un périphérique de stockage USB. Cela relève de la couche logicielle usb-storage, au-dessus de la gestion basique de l’USB. Ce serait comme considérer qu’un switch ethernet ne supporte pas une certaine taille de transfert de fichier en FTP ou HTTP.

J’observe dans les logs du noyau que c’est quand le disque est mis en rotation (“Spinning up disk”) et donc consomme plus que ça part en sucette. Ce disque est alimenté uniquement par le port USB ou par sa propre alimentation ? Dans le premier cas, il n’y aurait pas un problème d’alimentation insuffisante ?
