- reseau wifi non reconnu (netinstall 7.7.0)

Bonjour,
Je débute sur Debian (et sur linux en général) et je souhaite installer Debian sur un:
Fujitsu Lifebook U554 (proc:inteli5 Carte:intelHDGraphics4400 wifi:Wireless-N7260)

J’utilise une clé USB bootable avec Debian 20 (amd64)

Je suis bloqué dans mon installation car Debian ne reconnait pas mon réseau wifi : impossible de se connecter à internet, comme si mon password était faux.

Du coup impossible de télécharger les paquets qui ne sont pas sur l’iso. je termine l’install avec une version minimale de Debian que je ne sais pas utiliser dans cet état là, car je ne connais aucune ligne de commande.

J’ai re-essayé l’installation en me branchant directement sur le modem en RJ45 mais ça ne change rien l’installateur ne veut rien savoir et me demande toujours le code du wifi, mais n’arrive pas à se connecter. J’ai également tenté une install en recovery mode, en saisissant manuellement l’IPV4 etc, mais là non plus aucune différence.

Si vous voyez une solution, merci par avance de votre aide …

Dis nous de quelle version et origine est ta Debian d’install.
Il est recommandé d’utiliser la “Netinstall”

Si j’ai bien compris Net Install fait appel au web pour les paquets manqant, non?
C’est justement mon soucis, puisque visiblement mon réseau wifi n’est pas reconnu …

de base, debian n’integre aucun logiciel non libre (voir le contrat social). Mais la plupart des cartes wifi ont besoin d’un firmware non libre.
Donc, soit tu prends une version de l’installeur qui intégre ces firmware, soit ut les fourni à l’installeur lors de l’installation.

Pour y voir plus clair, il nous faudrait connaitre le type exact du chip wifi de ta machine.
Tu peux l’obtenir en tapant la commande lspci -nn et en cherchant la ligne qui parle de wireless. Tu y trouvera un code composé de 2 chiffres séparé par :
Le premier chiffre correspond au vender (intel, …), le 2eme au modéle exact du chip. Avec ses infos, tu vas sur la base de donnée des pciids, et tu as le modéle exact, ce qui te permet de connaitre le driver et le firmware requis

Si l’installateur voit les réseaux wifi présents et demande le SSID et la clé du réseau wifi, c’est a priori que la carte wifi est bien reconnue et qu’aucun firmware ou pilote non libre n’est nécessaire.

Pour apporter une note d’optimisme, je n’ai jamais réussi à me connecter à un point d’accès depuis l’installateur Debian netinstall, même manuellement via wpa_supplicant (alors que j’y arrive sans problème par ce biais dans le système installé).

Par contre il n’est pas très difficile de configurer le wifi en ligne de commande via /etc/network/interface. Voir https://wiki.debian.org/fr/WiFi/HowToUse#wpa_supplicant

Et si l’installateur ne propose que la connexion wifi lorsque le PC est branché à la box en ethernet, cela peut signifier que l’interface ethernet n’est pas reconnue (et nécessiter un pilote ou firmware manquant). As-tu eu le choix de l’interface réseau, et relancé l’installateur après avoir branché le câble ethernet ?

Pascal, il m’est arrivé d’avoir un réseau qui semblait “presque” fonctionner, mais la connexion n’a finalement fonctionné qu’après installation de bon firmware (chip atheros il me semble). Je ne sais pas quel firmware était chargé par défaut, mais ce n’était pas le bon.

@Pascal : non je n’ai pas eu de choix de l’interface réseau. Et j’ai refait toute l’install avec le câble branché, ça n’a rien changé.

A vu de nez ce qui me semble étrange, c’est :

  • comment ajouter un driver alors que je suis en cours d’install ?
  • comment taper des commandes alors que je suis en cours d’install ?

L’installeur Debian te demande bien poliment si tu possède un driver à installer et où il se trouve :slightly_smiling:

Avec Alt+F2 ou F3 (ajouter Ctrl si installation en mode graphique) pour basculer sur un des terminaux avec shell.
Alt+F1 pour revenir à l’installateur texte, Alt+F5 ou F6 ou F7 (sais plus) pour l’installateur graphique.

La commande [mono]lspci -nn[/mono] listera les périphériques PCI, ce qui devrait permettre d’identifier la carte ethernet et la carte wifi afin qu’on puisse regarder de quels pilotes et firmwares elles ont besoin.

Pourquoi “0030” alors que l’identifiant de périphérique de ta carte est “0034” ?
De toute façon c’est le même pilote [mono]ath9k[/mono] qui gère les deux. Et il n’a pas besoin de firmware pour fonctionner d’après [mono]modinfo[/mono].
De toute façon je ne peux pas t’aider là-dessus puisque je n’ai moi-même jamais réussi à utiliser le wifi dans l’installateur Debian avec une carte wifi par ailleurs bien reconnue.

Par contre rien sur la carte ethernet dans la sortie de [mono]lspci -nn[/mono] ?

Ceci étant dit j’ai progressé entre temps : j’ai refait une install complète avec une iso du DVD1
J’ai maintenant un système relativement complet, qui se lance avec une interface graphique, c’est déjà super !
J’ai même déjà réglé mon problème numéro 1, la prise en charge du trackpad, et ça marche déjà :wink:

Comme l’a écrit Pascal, tu as le bon driver (refais quand même un lsmod), ce n’est qu’un probléme de configuration.
il va falloir faire un peu de ligne decommande pour voir ou ça bloque.
Commence par un iwconfig -a. Il te faudra peut étre installer le paquet wireless-tools

En vérifiant les caractéristiques de cet appareil, il s’avère qu’il n’a pas de carte ethernet PCI. Sa fiche technique ne parle que d’un adaptateur USB vers LAN. Je ne sais pas si ce dernier est intégré ou externe, mais dans les deux cas la commande à exécuter pour l’identifier est [mono]lsusb[/mono].

Que veux-tu dire par “par de progrès coté internet” ?
Tu parles de la carte wifi ?
Est-elle gérée par le système ?
Voit-elle des réseaux sans fil ?

Pascal, c’est bien une carte pcie: AR9462 2x2 DB 11n PCIe gérée par le ath9K

tu n’as pas installé le paquet wireless-tools
tu peux aussi regarder la sortie de dmesg pour voir si tout se passe bien au démarrage. Le module ath9K est en tout cas bien chargé
