par contre j ai reessayer d installer les driver NVIDIA par synaptic : nvidia-kernel-2.618-4-k7 / nvidia-kernel-commom / nvidia-kernel-legacy-source / nvidia-settings / nvidia-xconfig / xserveur-xorg-video-nv . le nouveaux probleme que j ai ses que mon pc redemare normalement mais j ai pas de nvidia dans mon fichier xorg . je suis en vesa et ma carte nes pas reconnue

bon en faite oui ses le meme sujet . j avais j uste installer les drivers par synaptic mais pas xgl car il ne voulais pas l installer . ce matin j ai pue l installer . j ai redemarrer et encore ecrant noir le probleme ses que , a chaque foi . je me retrouve avec un ecrant noir :question: j ai pris la methode decrite sur le forum sa marche pas , par envy voila mon poste : forum.debian-fr.org/viewtopic.php?t=7752 idem ecrant noir et par synaptic pareil j ai beaux lire tous ce que je trouve ici mais rien ne marche pour moi :imp: je ses pas, si ses par ce que . ma carte est une pci-express . ou si je fait pas les manipes comme il faut :question: j ai fait le grand saut de windows a linux en octobre 2006 . avant j etais en dual boot avec windows et franchement linux et la ligne de commande cetais du chinoie pour moi :cry: et la je nage completement , mais je deséspere pas de trouver cette fichue solution pour la faire marcher cette carte . si les autres y arrive je devrais bien y arriver :smiley:

Bon, c’est bien ce que je supposais ; tu as le support natif AGPART - VIA KT400 - par le kernel.
Ca peut rentrer en conflit avec le support AGP nVidia.

Tu ne ns a pas dit si de mettre 'Option “NvAGP” “0” te modifiait la donne ?!

Screen ou device comme tu veux, usuellement c’est un paramètre nvidia donc mis plutôt dans cette section:
