Au fait regardes si par hasard tu n’aurais pas l’option PNP-OS coché dans ton BIOS. Dans ce cas, essaye en décochant cette option. Je soupconne confusément un pbm de conflit entre le BIOS et les ressources PCI qui’il affecte d’une part et le pilote NVIDIA. Dans ce cas, il vaut mieux que le BIOS disent comment il voit les choses puis que le driver s’arrange avec…

C normal, sous Linux, l’AGP est vu nativement comme un périf PCI.
Après, il est possible d’“optimiser” certaines options relative au pilote nvidia, pour lui faire comprendre que c’est de l’agp.

Cela sous-entend à tous les coups que tu as le support AGP natif, AGRPART par ton noyau linux … donc, il rentre en conflit avec la gestion AGP du pilote nVidia.

C’est quoi le modèle et la marque de ta carte mère ?

par contre j ai reessayer d installer les driver NVIDIA par synaptic : nvidia-kernel-2.618-4-k7 / nvidia-kernel-commom / nvidia-kernel-legacy-source / nvidia-settings / nvidia-xconfig / xserveur-xorg-video-nv . le nouveaux probleme que j ai ses que mon pc redemare normalement mais j ai pas de nvidia dans mon fichier xorg . je suis en vesa et ma carte nes pas reconnue

bon en faite oui ses le meme sujet . j avais j uste installer les drivers par synaptic mais pas xgl car il ne voulais pas l installer . ce matin j ai pue l installer . j ai redemarrer et encore ecrant noir le probleme ses que , a chaque foi . je me retrouve avec un ecrant noir :question: j ai pris la methode decrite sur le forum sa marche pas , par envy voila mon poste : forum.debian-fr.org/viewtopic.php?t=7752 idem ecrant noir et par synaptic pareil j ai beaux lire tous ce que je trouve ici mais rien ne marche pour moi :imp: je ses pas, si ses par ce que . ma carte est une pci-express . ou si je fait pas les manipes comme il faut :question: j ai fait le grand saut de windows a linux en octobre 2006 . avant j etais en dual boot avec windows et franchement linux et la ligne de commande cetais du chinoie pour moi :cry: et la je nage completement , mais je deséspere pas de trouver cette fichue solution pour la faire marcher cette carte . si les autres y arrive je devrais bien y arriver :smiley:

Bon, c’est bien ce que je supposais ; tu as le support natif AGPART - VIA KT400 - par le kernel.
Ca peut rentrer en conflit avec le support AGP nVidia.
